The staff at Applebee’s is always wonderful, and the food is consistently great. I absolutely love the Chicken Wonton Tacos and have been ordering them for years, they’re one of my favorites! Recently, though, I’ve noticed the wontons haven’t been fried as crisp and golden as they used to be. They’ve come out a little soft, which takes away from that amazing crunch I always enjoyed. It would be great to see them back to that perfectly crispy texture again.

The waiter/bartender we had was great. It was a Saturday Valentine’s Day, so very fast paced. Very attentive staff. There were a couple small oopsies with our food orders, hubby’s burger came out plain and my mashed potatoes were cold, but the problems were quickly rectified. Overall great experience.

I was very pleasantly surprised and impressed with this Applebee’s. It was much more than I expected in many ways. The restaurant was clean, not just the bare minimum kind of clean, it was a ‘we actually care about this place’ kind of clean. Our server was on her A game, professional, thoughtful, friendly and she anticipated rather than waiting to be flagged down. The food was delicious as well as affordable. I never really took notice of the atmosphere in other Applebee’s but I did at this one. It was very relaxing and calm. No one was shouting from the kitchen, the servers weren’t yelling about their dishes, no loud bangs and thuds from cleaning either. I didn’t realize how much I actually appreciated that.

We both decided to try the Applebee’s in Petoskey on 2/28/26. We both ordered the chicken broccoli fettuccine and it came to us fairly quickly. We were both very disappointed because the noodles were stuck together like glue, and the chicken was zapped in a microwave obviously and ran over by a truck as it was so tough and hard to chew, the broccoli served on the side was still hard. Later during our meal, our waitress came by and asked if we needed refills but never asked how our meal was. We waited another 10 minutes and she brought our check to us and asked if we needed a box. Unbelievable she never brought the refills. I don’t think we’ll be patronizing Applebee’s ever again. I can say that the meal itself felt like it came out of a microwave oven and was a frozen meal. It wasn’t worth $15.99 a meal.

Service was good. Super nice lady with a fun personality. I love their brew pub pretzels and their new cheese bites they have on menu. Their double crunch shrimp was ok at best and their fries tasted as though they were reheated in a microwave. Their tomato basil soup is solid. I also love their 5 cheese mac with chicken tenders.

Rebecca as a Server needs training!!! The Drink I ordered was discontinued, that’s ok I will have water. I Order a Mushroom Swiss Burger with fragments of 4 mushroom (one cut 4 ways), I ask for a Box to take the Burger home because it has NO Mushrooms and her response: “I just found out we are all out, but I’ve never heard of someone avoiding the meal because there were NO MUSHROOMS” that’s argumentative because you lack waitress skills…. Inform the paying customer the MUSHROOM SWISS is missing MUSHROOM. Then she comes to table 3 minutes later to say the cook is making mushrooms so I eat my meal… thought you were just informed you are ALL OUT?! So which is it? Other than babbling excuses. Someone else brought me a little cup with 4 more mushroom fragments. My tab comes, and I’m being charged for the drink they No LONGER have, so I point out that charge and she blames the bartender!!! Look at the tab before you leave it, you’re the waitress REBECCA. 20% is earned and your Lucky you even got the TIP I left you because your delay and scatter brain says you need training. Your blaming cooks and bartenders say a lot about your skills as a waitress and maybe you should be a Hostess but your unpleasant demeanor says that might not be a good fit either. Work on your attitude and professionalism girl. $70 for a bad experience

The service here is awful every time I come In reminded why I don’t ! It’s never crowded enough to not get service . To sit at the bar for 15-20 minutes for one drink is insane. The only reason I came was to get my free appetizer. I will not be back here. If you want to waste your time and sit around, then definitely head to Applebees in the Barclays.

7/23/24 Not really impressed on when I got my food, our appetizers were cold not to mention a table that got sat after we did got theirs first. I got the chicken fiesta lime chicken my bf got the three cheese. The cheese was dried on my chicken and barely had any of those chips they put underneath. My bfs noodles were cold which he didn’t even eat. Was satisfied that they took those items off the bill for us. But I would really like to know how lazy you have to be to make the food look this bad. Picture attached .
