My wife and I waited almost an hour to get a table. Normally we wouldn’t mind except that they had several tables that were cleaned and empty.
It could be policy and we should have asked instead of waiting in hindsight.
Eventually we got a seat at a little table, despite booths also being open.
They may have just had a lack of staff.
Anyway, my wife and I got the three appetizers deal. Mozzarella sticks, quesadilla and pretzels.
The best I can say about them is that they were ok.
I got the hot honey chicken and waffle fries and my wife got a bacon burger.
The appetizer came out and almost after the main also came out.
My wife likes the burger and fries and the chicken I had was tender and moist.
We had the Blondie for desert it was the highlight of the entire thing.
Total was about $74 with a tip.
Texas Roadhouse and Drake’s runs about the same price for what we consider to be better food.
Overall, with considering the wait time it was a slightly above average meal that was a bit on the expensive side.
The staff were friendly and service was quick.
The wait time was, our opinion, what killed the experience and was way too long with tables sitting empty the entire time we waited and ate.

OMG! I like Applebees and have eaten here many times. But just let me say Applebees in Pikeville KY is in a class all by themselves Applebees is lucky to have the cooks and servers that are at this establishment in Pikeville Kentucky. I had to work here this week for my company And Applebees is a tried and trusted restaurant. But I must give a huge shout out for their server >>>>>>SARAH<<<<<<, she has made me feel as if I was a friend not just a customer. Everyone is very nice and welcoming and who would I be if I didn’t say how scrumptious the food is!! I have put my bid in to return to Pikeville in September, and I promise I will be back. This is my 3rd meal since Wednesday.
Please go visit this Amazing restaurant when you are here. Or if you live here and haven’t been lately go visit them. Good food! Great atmosphere! And I feel lucky to be able to enjoy myself and my food!!!! 5 STARS***** and 2 thumbs up!!!!

My mom and I stopped there on our way to WV. This was the best Applebees I’ve ever been to. Our waitress was friendly and had good recommendations. We loved the quesadillas and wonton tacos. The restaurant and bathroom were clean. The wait staff was hustling and had friendly vibes. It was so great we visited again today on our way home to TN. We got the cesar and oriental salads and they were great. We even had the same waitress. I didn’t catch her name. Keep up the fantastic work, Applebees! A+!

The chicken parm fettuccine I got had too little alfredo sauce on the noodles and a smidgen of tomato sauce on the chicken. Neither sauce had enough flavor. The breading on the chicken itself was tough. It was tough on the boneless wings, as well. Maybe they were overcooked…? But possibly just a bad recipe. The bread stick that came with the dish seemed to be a bit overbaked, as well. The service was great though. They tend to their dining room and outside well.
UPDATE: Had the fiesta lime chicken today. The rice was pretty dry. The chicken, sauce, and tortilla shreds were great though.

I stopped the night in pikeville for work and tried to get uber eats to deliver some food. Uber eats system messed up and it resulted in me going to Applebees to pick up the food. The manager on duty (Tina) and the staff were more than willing to help get me my order. They were polite and understanding. Ubereats mess up was fixed by Applebees. If I come back again for work I’ll definitely come back to this Applebees location. Thank you again!

I absolutely love this location!! Every time I come here, the service is great, and we always have the sweetest waiters!! My food is always delicious. I took my sister and brother in law to this location as my brother in law had never ate at Applebees before and my sister had only ate at the one in Lexington, and they were highly pleased with their services as well. The waitress we had(I can’t remember her name, I need to find my receipt LOL) she was exceptional!! Again, beyond pleased with my services each time!!

I got the impossible cheeseburger with fries and some coleslaw (not the best).. but the fries are the best! Would definitely recommend and would definitely go again.
Also, the bathrooms were A LOT cleaner this time around.

We used to get the ribs there all the time the last three times we were there the ribs were unedible and they don’t care this is why I gave this restaurant two stars it was a great place to go for a while but not so much anymore servers are not very friendly if you want any service at all you just about to have to sit at the bar and have a bartender wait on you seems they are the only ones concerned
