What an absolute joke. Last time i’m getting applebee’s. I used to love this chain. I would choose it over other options.
Let’s start with the appetizer: Spinach Artichoke dip. You mean Spinach dip with ONE QUARTER artichoke. The cheese didn’t even melt. Also i didn’t ask for salsa, or more so jalapeno water with tomato chunks.
Now to my boyfriends meal: bourbon glazed chicken. You mean the half chicken breast with 5 waffle fries.
And last but not least, my meal: double crunch shrimp with fries, added dipping sauce: ranch.
1. Where is my ranch?
2. I ordered double crunch shrimp, not over fried (in what tastes like old fryer oil), yet somehow soggy, tasteless shrimp. I would love to know how that was manageable.
For having spent nearly $52 for those 3 things, i’m rather disappointed. I get that it’s a sunday, but it’s not near closing time. There is zero reason why our dinner was this messed up. Thanks but no thanks.

I ordered the salmon which tasted extremely fishy like it went bad. Could not eat it. The chicken in the fettuccine alfredo was very dry. Both side salads had rotting/welted lettuce . This place is a serious health issue serving food like

Sharika was AMAZING! From start to finish, she provided exceptional service. She greeted me with a genuine smile, remembered every detail of my order, and made sure my meal was perfect. Even during the dinner rush, she remained calm, organized, and kind. It’s rare to find service this good—she deserves recognition. 100/10

This was just a very mediocre experience on the Friday after Thanksgiving as we were in the Columbia area. The greeting, seating, and server taking our orders were all delayed. The service just did not seem to have a sense of urgency. When our food was brought to our table, it was just moderately (luke warm?) warm; obviously had been sitting awhile. The flavors were good, just not warm/hot enough to be better than “just acceptable.” The server never asked if we needed drink refills. She was busy and not slow. (Short staffed??)

ALWAYS LOVE coming to the Applebee’s in Columbia! They’re employees are always friendly, the food is AMAZING (I always get the bourbon garlic steak with a ceaser salad and extra grilled onions no mushrooms). I leave with a smile on my face and a full tummy!

Gotta say, these have to be among the worst food I’ve ever eaten for this price. Flavor is good on the ribs, but they’re dry, chewy. The fries? Tough, cold, dry. For $27, I would expect much better.

Very disappointing experience
We had a really poor experience at this Applebee’s. Our server, Mario, didn’t check on us at all during our visit (not even once when we got our food.) we sat for about 10 minutes before we were “greeted” and were asked what we wanted to drink. He didn’t give us straws, we had to ask someone else. We literally had to ask our waiter if we could place our order, because we were just sitting there for 20 minutes. He never came back afterwards to check on us. Our drinks were empty half way through our meal and he never came over to offer to refill them or anything.
The food was just okay, (mozzarella sticks tasted like they were microwaved very floppy and gross) nothing special at all, but the lack of service made the whole experience even more disappointing. Definitely not what we expected from Applebee’s.
$45 for mediocre food and awful service, we will not be back.

First time at this Applebee’s and it was just as expected. It was fast in and fast out. Got there around 5:30pm. The server was nice and friendly. Now to the good stuff…the crosscut fries were delicious. I devoured most of it before my meal arrived. The cheese they use on it was definitely good. The new Mountain Dew was bomb. They recommended a lemon to be dropped into it and that made it pop! The main course was flavorsome. The chicken was perfect and so were the noodles. Would definitely try here again.
