What on earth has happened to this place? I leave very detailed reviews and never leave a bad review from 1 bad experience. This is 3 visits in 2 months and you could not pay me to come back. When I worked there they was top notch, you would be fired for any reason that went against above excellent service. 1st visit there was 5 of us we waited 10 minutes to even see a hostess to seat us on a saturday night which is understandable. 2 other couples was seated beside us at the same time. 2 of us had a male waiter with dirty hair the other a female. From the time we placed our order it had been 1.10 no exageration. 1 couple had done asked for their food to go and got comped, the 2nd table who got their food 10 minutes before us, who a manager also comped their meal. Yes, we made friends with everyone around us, that is how bad and how LONG we all waited for food.. we should have got up & left.. totally unacceptable, servers was only bringing out plates every 10 mins or so, never saw anything so bad in my life. I have worked as a server and NO WAY this is ok.Nobody ever came to us, when we finally got our food 1 hour & 20 mins later half of it was ice cold, hamburger not well done.. Never got a refill, finally had to request a manager for shorting us 2 sides. Ok so i thought well its just a bad night or a bad waiter. Then we went 2 weeks ago, while the wait wasnt as bad, the service terrible again, cant get refills, u have to chase someone down to get anything. I was very dissapointed in the food. I had saw countless ads for the 3 apps for $15, so i ordered 2 of those. What a joke, complete utter RIP OFF. I could have bought 3 seperate apps, came out cheaper & have more food. Last i checked when you order apps the bring plates for the entire table.. WE NEVER got plates, we had to eat off our napkins, we never even saw the waiter. The cheese with the pretzles was like glue, somebody overheated it that bad, it shouldnt have even been served to a customer. I love beer pub pretzles n cheese these are the worse for DONT waste ur $ to be served burnt cheese, the riblets was so tuff, it wasnt even edible. We had literally been sitting there apps finished, empty drinks and then the waiter finally shows up to take our order.. there is something seriously wrong here.. WHAT R UR SERVERS doing? Any sit down they are attentive and want to move tables, to make more $, not here u sit there waiting & waiting, what are they doing? Tonight takes the cake.. there was 4 of us.. repeat crap food, missing items, cold food and servers expecting 20% tips who DO NOTHING but bring ur crap food n bill.. i was pissed i had to leave a 10% tip i didnt want to leave $2 , the expectation is a joke.. i have never saw such bad serving in my life, not 1 but 3x .. u gotta flag em down to place orders, they bring u stuff that u need after u have done finished ur meal, 15 min wait for anything is unacceptable.. i had to ask 2x for refills and the 3rd time I NEVER EVEN GOT 1. Sodas are 3.30+ tax & cant even get a refil, i shouldnt even have 2 ask… u know how bad it is when u have to stop a waiter from running off n say let me give u my card when they bring u the check because u know if u dont u want see them again for 15mins, thats how all servers have been. Applebees do u not require ur servers to be good anymore or do they have that much to do in the back that u see them 1x every 15 mins? Oh notice the alcohol wipes due to the table n menus being sticky. I looked at the reviews from the last 3 months they all say the same thing, terrible food n service, some even look like fake robot reviews. Seriously? What is going on here?

I asked for fries without seasoning. What I got was an order of cooked fries cooked again to remove the seasoning. Our server was great and asked if she could get them to cook another order. I declined, who knows what else would be done with them.

Being Valentine’s day, the place was very busy. Our server, Will, was wonderful. He was totally slammed but took very good care of us. He was patient with his customers..very efficient. We really enjoyed having him as our server! Not everyone can remain focused on a situation like that. Thanks for hiring him!

Been attending this location for a few years. Staff is great. New managers, Reece, Heather, and Ricky are personable and professional. Bartenders are wonderful and helpful. Only reason for the 4-star food rating is a lack of low-carb sides appetizers, but that’s a corporate direction. All in all a great place to spend some time!

Stopped in Saturday for lunch. The food was great and came out quickly. Mason P was our server, he’s served us before so we knew what to expect. He’s attentive and our food always comes out perfect every time. Couldn’t ask for a better experience. Thank you Mason for always providing great service.

The food was delicious, specifically enjoyed the fiesta lime chicken and the spinach dip. We sat at the bar and Amber was such a delight to be around. She was energetic, friendly, and made sure we had everything we need. We also had 2 different managers check in on us during our visit which was refreshing. This store has improved significantly in the last few months.

I had such a great experience at the Applebee’s Grill & Bar in Knoxville, and a huge part of that was thanks to Stacey. She works there, and she is truly one of a kind — fun, energetic, and the kind of person who makes the entire place feel brighter the moment she walks up to the table.
Stacey doesn’t just take your order; she creates an experience. She made us laugh, checked on us at the perfect times, and you can genuinely feel that she loves what she does. The food was great, but Stacey is what made the visit memorable.
If you want a visit that feels welcoming, upbeat, and just flat-out enjoyable, go when Stacey’s there. She’s a gem and Applebee’s is lucky to have her!

I took my friends son here it was decent enough but at the best average.
We both had burgers and I have to say that the burger was quite good but the fries had WAY to much seasoning and the Mozzarella sticks were very bland as was the marinara. I ordered a Shrimp Alfredo to take home to my wife and she only ate the shrimp out of it. There was barely any Alfredo sauce on it and what was looked as if it had been cooked in the microwave.
Our waitress, Bonnie, was phenomenal. Very prompt and professional.
The atmosphere was a bit loud, but there was a game on, so I guess it’s understandable for a chain restaurant that seems to be more bar like instead of a restaurant with a bar.
In closing, I’m not a fan of chain restaurants and this experience didn’t change that. I would not suggest it or suggest it. Again, average at best.
