The entrance of the restaurant is very dirty. Black grease on all the wood up in the front entrance. That’s one restaurant that needs professionally cleaned and be remodeled. I haven’t been there in years. And it was still as dirty as last time. The server was very friendly. But to have a bartender running out from behind the bar when she has her own guests to wait on while also trying to take care of the service bar. That creates a lack in service. The great thing about the restaurant is the happy hours. Obviously that’s the draw. And they still have the two for $25. And burgers that aren’t $19. They’ve managed to keep offering a good deal for those who cannot affect afford to drop $100 every time they go out to dine and relax.

I had a bad experience when my family and I got food here.That being said I gave 2 stars not one because the owner very quickly handled it. He listened and sincerely apologized, it was not a corporate robotic apology, it was legitimate and he was an extremely nice man. I would only consider revisiting this restaurant because clearly the owner cares and I strongly believe is the type of person who will actually try to handle issues presented to him. I also think the staff simply was understaffed that night and they just had a bad moment. It’s normal I just happened to be the one that night. I highly appreciate how it was delt with.

We had gone with 5 of us for half off appetizers after 10pm we were tended to very quickly by our awesome server. Food was pretty quick very hot and tasty recommend any of the appetizers on the half off menu as we had at least one of each and were all good. Drinks were well made and overall a good experience without breaking the bank.

We like this restaurant and have come here for the past 35+ years. Tonight, the food was the worst ever served to us, and the appearance of the plates was actually unattractive. Mine had an 8oz sirloin, overcooked and with mushy broccoli. Bare on the plate. The mashed potatoes had to be fetched from the kitchen, in a small bowl. My Caesar salad was shredded and not much to be seen in the bowl with a mystery dressing. We love the fried pickle strips, but tonight they were pickle BITS. Scimpy serving not worth the 9.99 menu price. The server, Kirsten S, was absolutely the most pleasant plus cute and funny. We enjoyed how well she handled it all, however the back of the house never pays any attention to the front of the house so I doubted she gave the “cook” any feedback. The food served did not reflect the check total for $66.43 and my steak tasted like liver. Hard to cut and I had to leave it behind, it was to be cooked medium. Not. Once again, the server made a terrible meal bearable, she was so much fun to talk to. My husband and I will take a break from Applebees, it was that bad. I would like to thank Applebee’s for continuing to offer a free meal on Veteran’s Day. It is appreciated. They did a very nice job with the decorations and at the US19/Curlew location and it was staffed well to keep up with all the guests. It was very busy, not an open table, and the staff was hustling and friendly. After a very short wait of 10 min., Olivia was our server and was excellent. Our food was brought out to order and hot for all 4 of us. My bacon cheeseburger was very good along with the fiesta lime chicken and chicken quesadilla. The steak was a little tough but cooked to order.

The food was good! Music blaring was awful and not conducive for an early dinner. Staff seemed overwhelmed, although the restaurant was not busy. The waiting for service, waiting for food, and lots of waiting for the check (felt like the song “Hotel California”) So many people were complaining that we didn’t have to say anything!
We were disappointed overall! We used to come here all the time. I hope they take reviews seriously because I very rarely leave a 3 star, which was generous.

The dining experience is usually very good at this Applebee’s. Octavia, Jason and Mike are a few of the very good servers. Yesterday the service was terrible. It was crowded and the server on this day appeared to be new. Once the food was delivered she never came back to check on how it was or offer refills. We had to keep trying to get her attention and finally got her to come over after about 45 minutes without drinks. She brought us refills after that… Explained french fries were cold and were supposed to be made without salt/seasoning but were fully salted. She offered to get more french fries but we were already done eating. She was supposed to return to the table when we were almost done eating and take a to go order but never showed up. We were finally able to place the to go order long after we were finished eating. The server apologized. We did try to find someone to get the manager but we’re unable to do so. The server was nice but seemed overwhelmed. She also was given a table of about 14 people after we had finished our meals. I had to explain to her about entering a coupon code we had for $10 off, as she was unaware of how to do this. It seems the server could have used more training and support from management. We do understand that it was busy but a server should not ignore a table after their food is delivered. It was a very long night and not the usual service provided at this Applebee’s.

It was very clear the staff was severely understaffed, and we were patient and understanding about the slower service at first. What became unacceptable was that the restaurant continued to seat people to full capacity without adequate staff to handle it.
We were seated at the bar and waited, while someone who sat down after us was served before we were even acknowledged. At that point, it was clear that the situation wasn’t just “busy” — it was poorly managed.
I completely understand staffing shortages, but filling the restaurant without the ability to provide basic service is unfair to both customers and the staff who are already overwhelmed.
We ended up leaving and going to another location, which handled the evening much better. Disappointing experience from a place we usually enjoy.

Thought it was worth sharing that I had a great experience at this applepiece tonight. We ordered a pretty good sized meal to go.What I was impressed with is when I went to pick it up.I told him I went to check my order.So the gentleman actually pulled every item out and went line by line to make sure all my food was correct.nWhich I was very thankful. No issues with the order. I appreciated Corey taking the time to help confirm the meal. Great job.
