Applebee’s is that classic spot where people—especially the older crowd—love to hang out, relax, and enjoy a meal together. This location gets pretty packed in the evenings, so it’s clearly a popular spot.
I sat at the bar; service was okay, though it seemed like they could use an extra person to help clean and turn the tables faster. I noticed folks sitting down even before the bar was properly wiped. The food was decent and matched the value for the price.
It’s a casual, friendly place where everyone seems to enjoy each other’s company. Plus, there’s plenty of parking since it’s located in a plaza. My uncle loves it here, and I can see why—it’s an easy, no-fuss spot to unwind.

If I can give a negative star rating I would’ve had. The food was oily not cooked properly! The service was horrible! Will never go back nor recommend it! Unless you like your food swimming in oil!

My salad came wet and soggy as if it was sitting under a heat lamp while the rest of the food was being prepared. A breadstick did not come with the salad as advertised on the menu. The spinach dip came with an impenetrable layer of cheese on top, stale chips, and the tomato juice from the bottom of the salsa bowl. Each table at the restaurant has an A/C vent above it blowing cold air in your face while you eat (I even heard someone complain about it while i was there). My server appeared to be bright and friendly with the table full of white women next to us but seemed to be in a rush and having a busy day when it came to serving us. My server should have noticed that i hadn’t eaten the salad, I shouldn’t have to go through the drama of asking for a manager, or even worse to appear as a person looking for some discount.

Stopped in for a late dinner & decided on the 2 for $25 deal. The atmosphere is crowded & loud. Service is fantastic. Our server was friendly & helpful. The food was good. We both enjoyed our steak albeit a bit overcooked. The surprise came with the bill that totalled over $50. We hadn’t noticed the entrees we chose from the 2 for $25 had an add on amount that brought it to $36. 2 ice teas later & a $2.99 charge for playing trivia plus tip & the grand total is now $60.10. So much for the 2 for $25 deal.

The worst experiance traveling to Florida. I would never walk in this place. Filthy floors, old and poorly mamaged. The manager was stoned walking through the store singing to his head phones ignoring clients and staff. Before that he was back there barking at people like a dog in heat. We were trying to spend a little time with an elder friend of the family, we will probably not see again before leaving the state. What a dissapointment one would expect a little bit of class from an area with a growing reputation. I guess it peaked a whole ago. We use to hold our after parties at Applebee’s all the time I have never been so disgusted by the attitude, lack of communication skills of a representative of the establishment. Delray Fla. Applebee’s, does not live up to reputation of Applebee’s in NY, North Carolina, Georgia,Tennessee, orbVirginia that we have enjoyed.

Went there last night (Wednesday night) with my kids for a quick meal and shockingly was the worst experience. I’ve been to this Applebees before and was never as bad as it was yesterday. Took the waiter more than 30 min to bring drinks. We actually ordered right away once we sat down as we already knew what we wanted. Never received the appetizer that was part of the 2 for 25$ special. Waited 45 min for half the food to come out. When it finally did and we were almost done eating, still no appetizer. So I asked the waiter to just please pack it to go. Had to wait for that, and when he finally brought it (which I ordered boneless bbq wings) he hands me bone in buffalo. When I politely explained this wasn’t my order, he apologized and went to fix my order. Came back another 20 min later, and still wrong appetizer order (this time boneless but still not BBQ, and buffalo again). I understand this isn’t a 5 star restaurant, but come on Applebees. Do better.

Terrible service when you order online. You go inside to pick up your food and you’ll be standing there like an idiot for over 10 minutes while every employee walks past you like they don’t see you. If you do car side, they’ll leave you hanging until you come inside, whether it’s busy or not it’s the same experience at this location specifically.

Nice place, good food. The food was good. The bread in my hamburger was a little bit too much cooked but the general flavor was good. The broccoli chicken pasta was delicious. Oh I will not order the ice tea, it is VERY water down.

Had an amazing experience at Applebees Delray Beach on Jog Rd had the ribeye dinner and the triple chocolate dessert the ribeye was tender and cooked to perfection better than some steakhouses as far as quality and tenderness Service was exceptional. I sat at the bar and my server was Sana Who was attentive and efficient I had to ask who the manager was Julian Byer Who I met and was personable attentive, and runs a well Oiled machine staff seemed happy and attentive to their customers. Food was spot on a good manager is an asset to any business and Julian Is the right person for that job? It was a pleasure to have such a nice experience.

Applebees is the one of the few restaurants open late in Delray. The food is ok, the drinks are great, with 2 happy hour blocks of time each day. I really appreciate this! The waitresses are delightful; friendly, and add to the festive atmosphere. For moderately priced fare, this place cannot be beat’
