Ordered a sandwich to go. Got home and the bread was soggy, the sandwich had fallen apart, and fries were cold and soggy!!! I came straight home, 10 minutes away!!! I’ve ordered this same sandwich several times and brought it home and it has never been like this!!!! The atmosphere and service felt very “standoffish” with little interaction.

I was taken out for my birthday. I ordered the salmon. It was pretty good I guess. It did not really look appetizing, neither did the the broccoli. The mashed potatoes were about half portion compared to everyone else but they weren’t bad.

Food was very good. Everything was fresh, seasoned and hot. Hostess was okay. The waitress, Gabby provided excellent service. She made sure we had refills, took our order quickly etc. She also had several roles from bartender to waitress & helping bring out the food. The atmosphere was okay. Music was moderatly loud with diverse selections from Rap, R&B & Pop. It seems like a place where a lot of locals or college students get together & hangout for drinks before going to the club. Restaurant does have a low grade of a 93. It wasn’t bad for my 1st time visiting. I like how it’s opened later compared to other restaurants in the area.

Service, food and atmosphere was great. Restraunt however needs a very deep clean and hostess needs to be advised to fix themselves better as they are the face that everyone sees when they walk in the door. That was very off-putting and we almost turned away because of her appearance.

Applebee’s has always had a fairly decent atmosphere therefore 3 stars but the rest NOT. So this happened Wednesday NIGHT on February 25th. NO host to welcome me and my guest, the young lady working the bar could have said welcome someone will be with you we running short staff or something. She said nothing and when another guest mouth is anyone working tonight she look our way with a look saying ” i know you not talking to me” so after waiting 7-8 mins me and my guest left. The place didnt have that many guest in the dining area. So what was the hold up . I’ve heard A LOT of people say that the APPLEBEE’S in Rocky Mount, NC is not the same with SERVICE OR FOOD. People with their Income tax refunds want to treat themselves out, outdoor events at the sports complex and the event center will bring folk from across the state/counties etc. So you would think that the POWERS THAT BE would ensure that guest are invited, welcomed, service is fast, food hot and cooked to order, etc. All the while ensuring employees are respected with pay, general managers and shift leaders who CARE about employees (from home to job), that employees have all they need to work efficiently and whatever else is needed to make working, dining out, and representing APPLEBEE’S GREAT. Which was NOT on display this particular evening …Peace✌️ and Blessings to all.

On 4-4-25 made an order online for the bacon burger $9.99 meal with fries and a drink. My order pickup time was 12:10pm. I arrived at 12:15pm and parked in the 2 go parks. I sat there for 15 minutes, and no one came out to bring my order (12:30) so I got out and went inside. No one was up front welcoming in guests. As I looked around, I only seen about 4 people eating in there and it took another 5 minutes before someone even came to ask what I needed. After they got my name, it took another 10 minutes to get my food which came out a complete disaster. When I got in the car, my burger bun was so hard and stale it could not be cut in half. The bottom of the burger was wet and soggy and tore to pieces lifting it. The lettuce looked like cooked cabbage on the burger. I will never ever order or spend money at Applebee’s in Rocky Mount NC.

The experience was wonderful!! The manager in shift was Cedric and I was so impressed by his performance!! The bartender was greeeeeat as well!!! Thank yoooouuu for a great lunch today!! Perfect spot to bring your family for a quick lunch!!! Food came out in great timing and all!!

My food was absolutely the worst I have ever had at any Applebee’s. The smash burger meal, part of a special, was totally unacceptable and unappealing. Very disappointing. Our server even returned it to the kitchen, but it was still unacceptable. I will say the mashed potatoes were served fairly hot and tasted good. My husband did eat most of his meal. I cannot recommend the food here based on my meal, as it was very disappointing and a waste of money. Plus, the restaurant was freezing cold and very, very uncomfortable. Our server did her best, but cold food and a freezing room are hard to fix by anyone but the restaurant management! I could not wait to leave, because of the cold. I cannot recommend this restaurant in any way! An added point: I was in restaurant management, training managers and franchisees, including food and menu development, in California for over three years, so I do know what is expected in restaurant food, service, and atmosphere.

In Have been this Applebee’s several times before and never had this type of situation where there was no one at the door to set parties there was 2 other parties besides us, I had to walk and go find an employee to tell us where we can sit so that was the first thing that went wrong. The second thing is we ordered what we wanted to drink, and then till she got the drinks and came back. We were ready to put our food orders in which we did. Andn The restaurant pretty much emptied out. We waited an hour and a 1/2, and still never had our food and all. It was was one of the new omescheburgers with fries and I got an oriental salad and that’s all we had to eat and we waited an hour and a 1/2, and our waitress got a bigger table so she was working with that table, then she came by and said everything come out. Good, and we said we never got our food yet. So she went back and apparently they claim in the kitchen that they never got our food. Yet we had an appetizer first, which was the spinach artichoke dip, which came out and we ate it, it was just our main courses that never came out.So she went back and we still had to the kitchen to find out what was going on.So she said she had to put the order in again and we still waited.I’d say maybe fifteen to twenty minutes to get our food and all it was was an OM cheeseburger which was supposed to have bacon on it?And till it came out , it had no bacon on it and the cheese sauce that they put it in was not so much there when you look at the picture or when you see the commercial on t v a lot more cheese than what was on my son’s plate. Our waitress said she was gonna have our meals comped Because we waited so long to get our food. A manager eventually came over and brought us our bill.And she said, she took $15 off our bill and it’s like, wait a minute, why are we still having to pay for one meal when we had to wait the same amount of time for both of our meals and she said, basically, well, I’m sorry that’s what we can do and it’s like we had to wait the same time for our food.So why is only one of them combed , we still had to wait so she walked away basically and on our waitress came back and i asked her why only one meal was comped. Because it’s not like we got one meal and had to wait for 1. We had to wait for both of them. So she said, I’ll check into it so she walked away. And then she came back and I went to try to pay my bill on their little paying kiosk thing, and I said, I can’t pull this up. And she said, because we comped it all, I said, okay, I really appreciate that I never had this problem at this location before, so I don’t know what happened what went wrong, but we really do appreciate you comping both of the meals because we had to wait that long for both, so I still will go back and give this one another shot. But if the same stuff happens, I’m done with that location, I’ll drive out of town to go to a different one, rather than go back and and be treated that way like by the manager, our waitress was great as far as trying to take care of us. And the 15 person party that she got, but just not real. Happy about the way the manager was with us. So I still might escalate that to headquarters, because I don’t really appreciate the way she was with us, but our waitress was great, so she got a good tip regardless Because we know it was not her fault

My food was fine. But how much fun is it when your companion’s meal is so poorly made he didn’t even want to order something else. So, I ate. He didn’t. His order was the baby back ribs. He said it tasted like they had been boiled in a pan of water in an oven! with the BBQ sauce added after the fact. AND they placed the packets of wet wipes IN the plate.. wedged under the ribs… How sanitary is that?

We called the manager to the table. He had absolutely nothing to say except sorry. Someone sends a whole plate back and all you say is sorry… I remember a time in which the manager would beg your pardon AND treat you and your party for that visit and/or give you a complimentary meal.. to strive to insure that you will return. Tsk tsk. Because we probably will not. Because my meal was fine, there was half the chance. But subpar customer service always guarantees all beats off. Too bad.
