Not gonna mention the experience the night before — but after speaking with the manager, Shaniyah, and coming back, we had an AMAZING time! The service was fantastic, the food was absolutely delicious, and the drinks were perfect. The manager truly turned everything around and made this remake experience exactly what customers hope for

Tony was amazing from start to finish. Very attentive without being overbearing, super friendly, and made sure everything at our table was perfect. Our drinks were never empty, our food came out exactly as ordered, and they always checked in at just the right times. I usually get the same meal via door dash I get one every 2 weeks but i decided last night to order my chicken sandwich well I received an over cooked Hamburger. So I phoned the manager, he made it right he gave me $20 off my meal. (Good looks Christian). I decided to give it another round tonight this bun is so soggy don’t blame the coleslaw. This was vindictive. my onion rings are over cooked and wet. Chicken breast is overcooked it’s hard. Would you feed this to a dog I wouldn’t. dear chef cooking I know you either can’t follow directions because I understand if you were swamp (busy for you simply folks) you weren’t that busy . tonight I guess you got upset because the food is messed up again. I bet you were mad I complained my food is messed up. sorry if you don’t like your job there are others. In Middletown I understand folks don’t have people skills. No worries I’ll email corporate in the morning. Maybe someone needs to get retrained on how to cook. I don’t want no one to get fired but I paid cash for this food again, this wasn’t free government food you lost a customer and I’ll tell everyone don’t eat hear because your not that friend in the neighborhood.

My food was delicious! However, the service was not the best. We had Javyn. He brought out a dirty plate, did not bring us enough silverware, forgot our sauces for 10 minutes after we got our food and we had to remind him, and we were not checked on and could not get ahold of him for refills. Two drinks came out promptly while two others took 30 minutes as he said the bar had to make them- one of which was a cranberry juice. Our food was sent to the wrong table before being redirected to us. We also had to ask another server for assistance multiple times. The only time he was efficient was in getting us the bill.

Applebee’s is one of my family’s favorite “suburban chain” restaurants. If you’re looking for something unique and hand crafted by globe trotting artisans…..this isn’t for you. This is about walking in and being seated immediately, knowing exactly what you want without even looking at the menus, knowing that if your kid had a meltdown the world won’t end. It’s Applebee’s. You know the type of place this is. Family friendly. Clean. Moderately priced (as much as eating out can be these days…) The Middletown,ny branch is clean and well run. The staff does an excellent job. Personally I prefer the quieter, less busy atmosphere of Applebee’s to competitors such as Texas Roadhouse. All in all, Applebee’s is an excellent choice in the “suburban chain restaurant” category and the Middletown, Ny eatery is one of the top examples of the Applebee’s brand. Good choice for anyone seeking a decent casual dining experience that still firmly falls into the “formal sitdown restaurant” category, (i.e, not McDonald’s) without being a real high end independent eating establishment.

Of all the places taking the time to provide a meal for veteran’s day I couldn’t have felt more welcomed and appreciated than by my server AJ today.
I ordered an oriental salad with crispy chicken. I recieved it quickly and everything was fresh. I definitely chose the right place to stop by and such prompt service is proof of that.
I can see myself coming back to this specific location given the amazing experience I’ve recieved.

Tony, our server, was excellent— very friendly, attentive, and genuinely made our overall experience great. He was quick, professional, and truly went above and beyond to make us feel well taken care of. If dining at Applebee’s in Middletown, I highly recommend asking for Tony!

Wait 20 minutes to be seated. I was there at 2pm. After getting seated, waited another 15 minutes before she came to say she would be right with us. Saw her seat another couple, clear off tables and talk to another customer. Left after 10 minutes and couldn’t find her.

My family and I were there today and had the pleasure of having Mariah as our server. She was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Unfortunately, we overheard the Black male manager on duty speaking very aggressively to employees, which made the experience uncomfortable.
