This was my first time at this Applebee’s in Torrington wonderful experience. I got a little bite to eat late at night. I will definitely go back again my food was hot did not have to wait long and the waitress was very nice and professional I did not have to ask for extra napkins

Our appetizer was a great way to start our lunch. Our server was very friendly. We made it easy on her because we ordered the same meal. She wasn’t even flustered when I let her know that I had a code for a free dessert. And because of my gluten allergy, I asked to have the dessert split so my friend could eat the cake and I could have the ice cream. We’d never been to this particular restaurant but would revisit any time.

Had a really great lunch here a couple days ago! Seated quickly and had a friendly chat with the hostess and the waitress. It took awhile to order because so much of the menu sounded yummy. I had the Bourbon chicken and shrimp with garlic mashed potatoes. It was heavenly. It was sizzling hot. The chicken was cooked perfectly as was the shrimp. The char on both was excellent. I was surprised at the sophistication of the dish. I didn’t know about the breadsticks here; they are so tasty and toasty. And the energy here was just comforting. Can’t wait to go back!

When we walked in we were seated very quickly. We got the 2 for 28$ deal. We got our salads and my fiances salad had no dressing, mine on the other hand was drenched. We then had to wait over five minutes for our waitress to come back around to ask for silverware. Both of us barely touched our salads. Then we get our meals, we both got the steak which came with sides. It was similar to a frozen meal. The interior is dirty as well, our table was extremely sticky.

October 2022. This is a mixed review on the two for $22. menu. I ordered the 6 oz. steak medium rare once again with broccoli and green beans. The steak was well-done and had some sinew in it. Our waitress suggested they bring me another one. I rarely return food even if it’s not to my liking, but after trying to get through a couple more bites, we asked for another. It was cooked properly but came out with the standard sides I wasn’t expecting (garlic mashed potato and broccoli.) I thought I’d just get a new steak alone.

We were the first and only customers there at the time. Firstly, after 5 mins of opening, the door was locked. Once we entered our table was dirty. Crumbs and smears were all over the booths. Customer service was okay. The food literally made my entire family sick. My husband had a burger and frieds. My child had a chicken taco with fries, I had ribs and mashed potato. The potatoes were the only decent thing we had. The burger was like a watery greasy and mushy texture. It was also flavorless. My ribs were tough, dry and tasted old and it was also grey. The chicken taco was similar to the burger, like a preserved greasy water, mush that gone bad. We all had sharp stomach pains, nausea, dizziness and diarrhea right after our meals.

Listen, I hate bad customer service. I think we all do. I will preface that I did seat myself and unintentionally. There are more than a few restaurants where you can seat yourself in the bar area, especially if there isn’t a hostess there waiting. I explained that to the blonde girl who decided to kinda toss the menus to us. Cool, I get it we sat ourselves, I explained why we did, I get it. However, to talk in front of your customers to other coworkers about how we sat ourselves? Nah, we all work, we all have a job to do, don’t be rude. Walked out as fast as I walked in.
