A few nights ago I pulled up a seat at the bar, and from the start I felt comfortable. Sasha and Kayla behind the bar are the real deal. They remember your name. They remember what you like. I’m what I call an easy but difficult patron — I always just want a beer and honestly don’t care what it is. Most nights I’ll say, “Tall and cold. Dealer’s choice.” In my experience, that throws a lot of bartenders off. Not here.
From the second I said it, they got it. Now when I come in, they already know — it’s dealer’s choice. They hand me something new without me even having to ask. It’s thoughtful, it’s personal, and it makes you feel like you belong. The regulars I’ve met at the bar have been just as friendly. It feels easy. Natural. Like a place you can unwind without pretense.
And the servers? Top notch. Cadence was one of the first people I met here, and her smile was so welcoming it honestly felt like I had finally made it home after a long, exhausting journey. Amber greets you with that same genuine warmth — not forced, not scripted, just real.
I haven’t met the whole staff yet, but if the people I’ve encountered are the standard, then I consider myself fortunate to have found this place. This Applebee’s restored my faith that it can be more than a chain restaurant — it can actually be somewhere you want to go, sit down, and relax at the end of the day.
Within 15 minutes of leaving the restaurant we were both horribly sick at target! I’ve gone to Applebee’s in Bangor many times. I’ve never EVER had the experience the way I did here. For one, the arguments between wait staff uncalled for.
Managers can totally pull people aside an ask them to clean toilets away from where people are actively shoving food in there mouths.
Cut out of Martha an Snoop. But forgot about Dre! Actually RUDE!
OUR WAITRESS was a solid 7! She definitely could of cleared the table of drinks better. & I definitely did most the clean up for her while still leaving above par tip!
But seriously….. What did you do to your chicken an why did I see it 7 times for 4 hours after I’m still queezy.
Questionable food poisoning at this point.
We waited maybe 20 minutes or so for our food to come out. All the food was really good, I think people are generally used to fast food wait times and sub par food, so waiting 20 minutes for higher quality food seems like a long time. It’s really not that long at all.
The boneless wings were really good, crunchy but not like KFC crunchy. Really good heat, but not too much to ruin the taste of the chicken.
My daughters really enjoyed their food, the pizza stayed together when being bit Into.
Chips and dip were nothing too special, no artificial taste or anything.
Food prices have increased and I don’t think anybody is ok with that. Half apps is a good way to counter those prices.
4 stars because I had to ask for my girls chocolate milk to be refilled even though I put their empty cups on the edge of the table, instead of being offered (hey, 5 stars means perfections on all fronts, if I’m going to give a perfect score then that means I can’t find a nitpick.)
Also, our raspberry iced tea came out warm instead of cold. I assume because it’s brewed, which you can taste, it’s really good.
Our table was wet when we sat down, could have been dried before sitting my family at it.
Quick seating when I entered.
Overall a great experience, even with my nitpicks. Worth bringing your family here still.
It was an half hour before closing and the waitress covered in tattoos was vacuuming and I had no problem with that, I know how it is at the end of the night you want to go home.. We over heard her telling another costumer we close at 12. We heard that over and over again, We will never forget that Applebee’s in Augusta closes at 12 . Well anyways it wasn’t the fact that she was vacuuming but she was aggressive doing it, she kept slamming the vacuum into the booth that we were sitting in. It was very uncomfortable and annoying.
The manager did take our steak off the check but we will NEVER BE back..
My husband called because I was a bit too upset to talk to anyone making such a big mistake on his meal, only to hear the restaurant manager give him a hard time saying it was HER that packed the meal and it clearly stated on our ticket to have NO CHICKEN! She even asked how we placed our order, knowing full well it was on the ticket ,as she so nastily stated, it was SHE who bagged the meal. She went back and forth with him and ended the conversation saying she would refund him his meal and the tip we paid. To this date, nothing had been credited. I can’t say I’m surprised, she’s not the best choice of a person to work in a customer service position, never mind being the manager! And why the heck would you give no chicken, but send Alfredo fettuccine and a side of sauce meant for the chicken parm!!?? I sincerely hope they close this location, the choice of managers has been horrible .
-fast
-well proportioned
-excellent taste
-excellent pricing
I was pleasantly surprised by the whole experience, and positive sticker shock.
Service was :
– a bit disappointed with the greeting, and the hostess.
-made up by the courteous, friendly server Keith.
– he anticipated needs, and was pretty good at helping us understand the options and answered all questions ensuring we understood.
We would come back, amd recommend this location.
