I absolutely love this place, the environment, the low lights set the perfect scene for an amazing dining experience. They have a great bar, with amazing house cocktails, the Espresso Martini was exceptional. For dinner I had the 8oz Prime Rib with a baked potato and it was delicious. I highly recommend this place, the salads are the best anywhere with a piece of homemade cornbread. If you’re in Cartersville and looking for a great place to eat, don’t miss your opportunity to have a great meal and a fun night out.

This was probably my third time here. Food is always amazing. But would suggest having an actual mixed drink menu. The drinks we asked for were made but didn’t quite hit the mark. But other than that again food awesome. Service awesome! Everything is awesome!

Loved this place. I ate the mountain trout, grilled instead of crusted. VERY tasty! I am gluten free, and although they don’t have any labeling on the menu, they are understanding and as accommodating as possible. My waitress brought out the kitchen manager to answer my questions and make sure I wouldn’t get sick, and knew which dishes could be modified to fit my dietary restriction. My waitress was very kind and helpful. Great service. Thank you Appalachian Grill!

First time here, and it was beyond superb. The salad with their house dressing was incredible, never thought I would be eating every bite of a salad. The pecan crusted chicken was mouth watering. Also, really liked the vibe and atmosphere in the restaurant as well. So amazing!

Our first time here. Loved the atmosphere; the food was outstanding!!!!!!
Unfortunately our waitress was NOT having a good night. She was not engaged, seemed preoccupied & rushed. We could not even finish our appetizers before large salads were brought out; before we were halfway with salads , entrees were out. The table could not accommodate all. It felt like we were being rushed out.
The check was plopped on our table without asking if we would like dessert.
We will definitely go back and hope the dining experience is better.

The Good, the Bad, and the Hostile

I’m torn on this review because the experience was a tale of two different worlds.

The Service & Food: Absolute perfection. Our waitress was outstanding—attentive without being hovering. The kitchen is a well-oiled machine; the food came out at a great pace, tasted delicious, and the portions were well worth the price.

The Atmosphere: This place is spotless. They have a 100A health inspection score, and it shows. Even the restrooms were well-kept and comfortably heated for the winter.

The Hostile: The hostess station. “Hostile services” would be a more accurate name. They forced entire parties to crowd into a very limited waiting area inside just to place them on the waiting list. It’s a ridiculous, insulting practice that ignores customer comfort and common sense. (This is rated in the Atmosphere section)

Overall, it’s a great place to spend time with family or friends, but management needs to rethink the front-of-the-house attitude. It would be a 5-star stay if the welcome wasn’t so cold.

Delicious food and drinks! Awesome service and great atmosphere. Sat at the bar because the wait was too long and had the best service and a great time. Try the smoked old fashioned! The portions are absolutely worth the money, and the quality of food is superb.

Three stars all because of one hostess. Otherwise 4 to 5. Four of us were at the Savoy auto museum and went there for lunch afterward based on a friend’s recommendation. My wife went in to check on the wait. The hostess told her 30 minutes, and she would put us on the list when our entire party was there. I was talking to my brother-in-law outside, who was looking for a parking space. I directed him around the back where there was plenty of spots. In fact, Google took my wife and I directly to the lot behind the restaurant and at first we thought it sent us to the wrong place. I went in and told the hostess that she could put us on the list because the other two were here and he was parking the car. She said, okay, when all four of you are here, let me know and I’ll put you on the list. I said, no, you can put me on the list now, because he is just parking the car and will be here any minute. She said, even if I put you on the list, if someone else comes in with their whole party, I will move you behind them. That’s the most ridiculous policy I’ve ever heard of. I would understand that you can’t seat someone if the whole party isn’t there, but why would you not put someone’s name on the waiting list when there is a 30 minute wait. If one or more parties came in right after me, she was going to put them on the waitlist in front of me when she still couldn’t seat them for 30 minutes. I went out, and my sister and brother-in-law were walking up. I looked in and said “we’re all here”. She said in a snooty tone, okay, but there’s a 30 minute wait.

Anyway, after that bad taste in my mouth, we were seated in about 30 minutes, so that estimate was correct. The waitress was good, and attentive. The food was good. Two of us had burgers, which were cooked the way we wanted. My sister had the pecan trout, which she said was great. My wife didn’t care for the chicken sandwich. It came out a couple of minutes after our food for some reason, and she said it was overdone on the bottom and a little rubbery.

Omg, would have never expected such an awesome restaurant tucked away in this beautiful location. The atmosphere was rustic and relaxing! The food was amazing! That was the best blue cheese burger I’ve had in years. The meat is top grade A beef for sure! Can’t wait to go back, as in everything in life, you get what you pay for!! Oh ya, can’t forget the super friendly staff and great service!!
