Appalachia Restaurant is located right on the water of Lake Lure in North Carolina. The restaurant is part of The Lodge on Lake Lure. The views are great with mountains in the background. The cocktails were superb and they have a decent whiskey selection. The menu is local focused and seasonal. We had the bread service and Charcuterie board to start, which was very good. The entrees all looked and both my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our food. It is great to have another nice restaurant so close.

Just wow! Amazing property on the lake with many terraces, settings, docking. Food was delicious! They offer a boat tour of the lake. It was just amazing place to eat and take the views in! Must see this restaurant when in the area!

The food was amazing! The portions are large enough so you can share and try multiple items. We had the Pressed Watermelon Salad, Duck entree and a bean and tomato side dish. Everything was fantastic. Our server, Cassandra, was wonderful and the view is outstanding.

We had a wonderful experience here. We were in Lake Lure celebrating our anniversary. We decided to try Appalachia Restaurant. I loved the atmosphere. Our hostess Aaron was superb in every way. From her drink recommendations to her descriptions of the dishes on the menu, she was wonderful and welcoming. (May have misspelled her name and so sorry if I did). One of the chefs came out to see if we were enjoying the meal and we definitely were. It was a great experience and we will be back!

The view, the service, and the food are fantastic and worth the prices. We had dinner here our first night staying in the lodge and enjoyed the charcuterie, duck specials, and desserts (key lime pie cheesecake, crème brûlée). The food was generously portioned, well-cooked, and full of flavor. Our server, Caylin, was lovely and attentive. It was definitely a treat!
