I visited Apollo Family Restaurant with my sister and we had a wonderful experience. Our waitress, Delani, was new but did a fantastic job. You could sense a little of the newness pressure, but she carried herself with kindness and professionalism. My sister ordered the shrimp and fries, and I had the Philly Cheese Steak—both were delicious.
Delani kept a full smile the whole time, was very polite, never rushed us, and never left us waiting too long either. She struck a perfect balance and made our dining experience very enjoyable. I highly recommend both Delani and Apollo Family Restaurant, whether you’re dining alone or with others.

I’ve been looking for a diner that serves a Monte Cristo, and Apollo has told me that they only serve it on Wednesdays, as a special. And every Wednesday, I go there to get one. But they don’t have it. I once called everyday, for two weeks, to see if their serving it. And they said no, every day. That’s the only reason I give a 4 out of 5. Other than that, this place is fantastic. Excellent fish and chips, great gyros. And I absolutely love the onion rings. Highly recommend.

If you can’t make biscuits and gravy right, you shouldn’t make it at all. Biscuits are not cake yet theirs is the texture of dry crumble cake.

It was pretty good fish. Not sure it’s worth $17 for 3 piece, but tiny mini Dixie cup size Styrofoam cups for Cole slaw and cottage cheese. Spent $100 for 2 3 piece fish, 2 Italian sandwiches, patty melt style burger on bread, 2 grilled cheeses and 2 orders of fries. $4.50 for two orders of fries since the sandwiches for well over $10 don’t come with them and they are the cheapest thing besides soda plus they were not crisp. Just soggy. The ones with fish I could get from steam, but not the stand alone separately ordered ones we had to order separately just because potato chips came with everything. We had zero drinks and I still left a $5 tip on to go which I usually don’t do, but boxing looked good and all. About comparable with Leo’s down the road. Whiteys is winning in the fish game still after 40 years I’ve been going there in Davison. Well worth getting Whiteys if you’re spending $100 or so dollars on a meal/snack for 6 people.

The food is good and the waitresses are great but the last time I went in there, I saw an encounter that changed my perspective on this restaurant. There’s a woman who works there. I think her name is Diane and I’m positive, she’s the manager. I witnessed her treating a waitress who is clearly a young girl so horribly I was in awe. I said something to the waitress because I would be so pissed if someone talk to my Kid like that I am disgusted with the way that she treats her coworkers and this is a big part of why I will not be returning again. I think it is so disgusting for such an old woman to be talking to a teenage girl in that way

My husband and I went there for dinner tonight and our waitress was great and food was good too but there was another waitress who kept making remarks to each of her tables how she wished a truck would hit her and put her out of her misery… I get having a hard day I truly do but yet let me give you a piece of advice, YOU are the only person who can change the situation you are in! Don’t like the job? Leave. Something not going right? Change it or leave!! Please don’t ever wish that you weren’t in this world joking or not

Apollo’s Restaurant has been in business in Davison for a very long time since about 1975. I’ve eaten here and had great food and I’ve eaten here and had food that was just ok. The food lately has tasted good for your classic family diner. Today, I had a grilled cheese sandwich with fries and mushroom soup. The soup was not your typical mushroom soup with a creamy base. The soup had a thinner base and more vegetables. It was pretty good and tasted homemade. The grilled cheese was on sourdough bread and I could only eat half of it. The fries were hot but not my favourite part of the meal. My family member had a hot roast beef sandwich that was good. The food was delivered quickly. I have also had the vegetable wrap and spinach salad which are two good options. I would return here again for breakfast or lunch.

This was my first visit in many years. They have a great selection. I had the hot turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy. The portions are generous. The service was good, the inside was clean. I would come back.

Great restaurant for breakfast all day! Food was made to order, fresh and served with a great smile. This place has a huge menu, I’m sure even your pickiest of eaters could enjoy. Our entrees came out fast and were delicious. I’d definitely come back if ever in the area again.
