Vibes are definitely cool and what I was looking for. Glad they had food late night which was decent but dropped off one at a time in a to go box with no plates no napkins and no silverware and I was sharing with my boyfriend, after asking for a hookah twice went to the host to get one. Empty drinks went to the bartender after 15-20 minutes to get another second. Our server (the manager) was busy taking shots with guest. Check the cams 2/7 11:45 into 2/8. Later asked to split the check was charged twice on the same card. Asked to adjust and was told they would not and I should cash app my boyfriend and not willing to do anything for us. I work as a manager in the industry and this customer service was disappointing especially after finding a vibe I like in the area. If you want to be upscale, service should match and to find out the manager is the one taking shots at the bar neglecting me and not willing to adjust a mishap on her end is not something I would do in my company. Would come back if not for service. Was hoping it would back the cool vibe here!

So look…I don’t even do this “review” stuff. And being as though this is a black owned business, I don’t even wanna be the one to do this. Me and my lady ordered food over the phone. Before we ordered, we checked their website for the price of the food of our choice which was chicken Alfredo for her and chicken/shrimp Alfredo for me. Her order said $18 for the Alfredo alone and $5 extra for the chicken which would make the total $23. My order said $18 for the Alfredo alone, $5 extra for chicken , & $8 for shrimp which would make my total $31. My $31 plus her $23 comes out to $54 correct? So I pulled up expecting to pay just that. I go in to pick up, the lady gives me the receipt with the total. I see $75 flat. Don’t get me wrong, the lady was very nice and professional, my anger does not go to her. I believe her name is Sasha. S/o to her however, there was a $20 difference that wasn’t listed on their menu from the website. I inquired about it and she said she didn’t know why the prices said that on the menu. My girl ended up talking to her. The owner agreed to match the price, we went forward with the transaction and as I went to leave before I even made it out of the door I could hear him talking under his breath about me and the issue. Not to mention, dude didn’t even acknowledge me, apologize, or even speak. This whole experience was frustrating but I wasn’t planning on writing a review until I got home (5 mins away) and my food was still cold to the touch and there was no chicken in my shrimp and chicken Alfredo. I decided to not go back and complain about the missing chicken because I was over it at that point. I’m not gonna say I recommend others to not support this business because it may be different for everyone. I still want them to flourish. Just want them to get their system and business right because that’s how a business fails. I don’t want a refund or nothing. Word of mouth is everything! I still wish you guys the best! if it was something good to say I would’ve said it but it is what it is…

I’m so upset that I cannot remember the bartenders name that took care of us. But I went there to meet up with friends and family for visiting from ATL. We first thought we’d have to buy a section, but the bartender reassured and took care of us at a booth close to the bar instead. It was a Friday and it wasn’t busy – but that also could be due to the cold weather when we went. I’ve heard the food is good hadn’t tried it as I ate before going. I plan to try it again when I visit. Maybe on a Saturday this time.

Been to Apexx a few times and ordered uber eats last night. My lamb chops weren’t properly made so I called rather than jump to a bad review. As someone who likes to cook I know things go wrong in the kitchen at times. Ibrahim was super professional and apologetic. He refunded my money and I placed another order and got the 10oz ribeye instead. When I say that chef bounced back with that ribeye! It was cooked to perfection and I thoroughly enjoyed it. More importantly I value the good customer service and the willingness to make it right after my first order went bad. If you’re in the area visit Apexx or order the food online!
