Apero is an absolutely exquisite experience. I have been by the meat market a few times and picked up lamb rack, pichana coulette, and fish. However, enjoying the restaurant for your birthday provides an elevated experience. The staff is finely attuned to detail, the appetizers are diverse & delicious along with the perfect portion size to share.

Fish of the day was the red fish and was Cajun inspired and delicious. The highlight of the meal were the drinks and we were able to enjoy a diverse range such as the 1988, shore leave, & closing with espresso martini. Thank you JJ, our server Nick, and the support staff for making me & my family feel truly special.

Will be back for another round of deliciousness very soon.

Best,
Luke

My wife and I chose Apero for our anniversary, and the entire experience was truly special and memorable.
The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, well-organized, and impeccably clean, setting a fantastic mood from the moment we walked in. The service was truly excellent—attentive and professional. They even gave us a lovely, signed card for our anniversary, which was such a thoughtful touch.
Highlights from the Menu:
* Drinks: We started with the “1988” cocktail and the “Lost Paradise” zero-proof drink. Both were exceptional and a perfect start to the evening.
* Appetizers: We ordered the Marinated Olives (very good) and the Lump Blue Crab and Brie Dip, which was the star! It was exceptional, packed with plenty of crab, and the crostinis were perfect for dipping.
* Steaks: For our main course, we both had the beef filet steaks. They were cooked to absolute perfection—tender and incredibly flavorful. The accompanying Dijon sauce was fine, but honestly, the steak was so good it stood perfectly well on its own.
* Sides: The sautéed mushrooms were amazing! The hassleback potatoes were the only slight miss, as they were a touch bland.
* Dessert: We were too full to eat dessert there but took the Pineapple Upside Down Cake home, and it was a delightful way to finish the meal later.
Overall, Apero provided a 4.7 dining experience, perfect for celebrating a special occasion. We highly recommend it!

This has become a favorite for us! The hospitality is next level. The employees signed a card and gave it to me at the end of the meal. I dint even know they knew it was my birthday. The food is simple yet refined. The atmosphere is welcoming to all. I wish I could eat here every week. The pineapple upside down cake is exquisite!

We celebrated my birthday at Apero last night! Our first time and all 8 of us can’t wait to come back! The service was on point, Grant met us with a smile and made Fabulous drinks,. Sam , our waiter was absolutely the best explaining The menu in detail and our options. Every bite of food was delicious, the room is exquisite! There are not enough adjectives to explain how good this restaurant is. How lucky are we in the twin cities to have this hotspot. The pork chop and the greens will melt in your mouth, the oysters were divine, the shrimp toast. I could eat it every day.!! I’m so excited to go back. I am in love with APERO! Thank you to the owners, the chef and the staff for coming to our area and bringing us this experience!! Hope, you stay here forever!

Food- excellent flavor and seasoning but smaller portions for the price. Service – perfect frequency. Atmosphere – very nicely decorated, but the tables are very close, not allowing us to have any privacy on our date! The crab dip was delicious. The seared scallops were succulent. The market fish was superb. The eclair was a bit dry but good flavor… My only wish was I wanted a more private time with my bf at such an upscale restaurant. Everything else was great

Having dined at Apero several times over this past year, I echo all the sentiments other diners share – excellent food, vibe, and service. Samantha always takes fantastic care of us. In my honest opinion, it’s one of the best meals in Northeast Louisiana.

However, I feel compelled to share more about my recent experience. This past Saturday my husband and I had reservations to celebrate his birthday. I had reached out to Apero prior to our visit to see if they might be open to accommodating a unique request for a special dessert. Emily, the owner, was so gracious to oblige and Morgan, the pastry chef, crafted a delicious chocolate & caramel mousseline cake. Staff stopped by to share Happy Birthdays, truly such a memorable experience. Thank you, Apero, for caring about creating a beautiful, memorable experience for us.

My wife and I visited Apero in Monroe, LA for what we expected to be a special night out. We made our reservations weeks in advance because we were excited to enjoy the live band that evening. We even paid extra for two additional seats to ensure we could sit comfortably and enjoy the experience.

The restaurant itself is stylish and has a great atmosphere. The band brought an amazing energy to the space, and the overall vibe felt upscale and enjoyable. Our server was fantastic, consistently attentive, and the food was excellent. The dishes were fresh, flavorful, and beautifully plated. From a culinary standpoint, Apero knows what they are doing.

The disappointing part came at the door. The maître d’, Robin, seated us in the back of the restaurant far from the band and main dining area, despite there being many open seats closer to the music. We specifically came for the band, so not being given any seating options felt dismissive. It became even more uncomfortable when another employee approached us and asked if we had made reservations, even though we clearly had. Considering the planning and the extra cost we put into our evening, that moment felt slightly offensive.

At that particular time we were the only people of color there that night. Being placed away from the main room made us feel isolated, embarrassed, less welcome than others and almost like a after thought. That is a feeling no guest should ever experience, especially after taking the time to plan and invest in a night out.

Again, great food and great service are important, but hospitality is about making every guest feel valued from the moment they arrive. I truly hope Apero takes this feedback to heart. The potential for an incredible experience is clearly there. I would love to return in the future with confidence that every guest receives the same warmth, attention, and respect.

Absolutely stellar. Was visiting from Houston and wow, what a find. Monroe is really stepping up their game with a restaurant like this. Service and food were spot on and could compete with Houston’s finest restaurants. JJ who runs the show is the best front man they could ask for. Allison supplies their seafood and top notch. Their crawfish and andouille dip is amazing! Their goat cheese does balls are a must! Topped with fried sage was perfect! Lastly their ribeye was stellar. I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention their cocktails. The 1988 grapefruit cocktail is 2nd to none. Whether you live in Monroe or just visiting, you’ve gotta come try this one out!
