I was a little hesitant at the beginning. After I saw the prices and the portion size I wasn’t too sure about this place. Yet they were all exquisite, specially excelling at plating. It was one of the best sushi i have tried in Utah, while the Ramen was pretty tasty as well.
I hard recommend the Tuna Tartare and the Valentine roll.
Disappointed, but again it’s Utah, so you get what you get.
There are some good sushi places in Utah if you know where to find them, but unfortunately this isn’t one of them.
I had high hopes in this place being good, but sadly it fell way off the mark.
The service was good and the atmosphere was decent, but the food was terrible.
The dumplings taste like dumplings (nothing special than anywhere else)
The sushi and roll however were tasteless.
But my main issue was the roll. It didn’t taste like anything. It was super bland and even with sauce on it still nothing. I’ve never gone to a place where I couldn’t taste anything.
I took two bites and sadly couldn’t nor wanted to finish the roll.
Mind you I haven’t tried other stuff there, but it won’t shock me that the others might be tasteless too.
You can really taste the quality in every bite. The staff were welcoming and made the whole experience feel like visiting a friend’s home.
Highly recommend to anyone looking for authentic Japanese comfort food!
I have ordered sushi three times and it is consistently amazing. My fav is the full moon roll but everything I have tried has tasted fresh and delicious. I also tried the ramen and it was also great – salty, umami deliciousness. I LOVE the soft boil egg and the pork belly tastes so fresh. For appetizers I have tried the gyoza – it is steamed and plump full of chewy salty pork, and the jalapeño bombs which were incredible – like if you ever wished jalapeño poppers had a baby with sushi – this is the tempura cream cheese dream you have always needed.
The beef teriyaki was cooked to perfection, and the sauce was very flavorful. The vegetables that came with the dish were a perfect compliment to the meat. The miso soup was a little bit of a disappointment. It was pretty salty, and lacked in flavor. But that does not in the slightest effect my review at all. It’s more of a note.
The sushi was delightful. The staff brought out the wrong roll and promptly got us the roll we had originally ordered.
I recommend the mochi ice cream to finish off your entree. To me, it was just the cherry on top to an amazing meal. I prefer the mango flavor, but vanilla and strawberry were a close second.
