We had 2 chicken Parmagian, lamb shank, eggplant involtino, penne with sausage, Alfredo chicken, lobster ravioli, fried calamari, buratta, chocolate cake, Valentino al lamponi some wine and coffee. So the chicken from the chicken parm tasted like it was precooked and reheated. It was not crispy and the The texture was chewy, which usually means it was reheated in a microwave. The Alfredo chicken was similarly not enjoyed since it also had a strange texture and must have also not been freshly cooked. The rest of the food tasted delicious from the appetizers to the other entrées and the desserts. The waitress did ask us if everything tasted good and I told her about the chicken Parm’s that were not enjoyed, and she offered some something else but after eating half of the plate of chicken Parm, my husband and my son were not interested in another dish.
However, the service felt rushed. Even though the place was nearly empty, our server kept coming by every few minutes asking if we were done or needed a to-go box — this started barely 30 minutes into the meal. It made the lunch feel rushed and a bit uncomfortable, especially since business lunches normally take closer to an hour.
Overall, good food, nice workers, clean and calm environment, but the pacing of service needs improvement. Would consider coming back, but hope they ease up on pushing guests out the door.
The fried Calamari was so fresh, it required no salt or lemon. My wife had the Veal Marsala and I had the Lobster Ravioli and both meals were Superb.
The staff is so friendly and welcoming, it was as if we were family and or we were regulars.
We will return next time we are in Orlando (usually) three times a year.
Thank you to the staff for taking the time to treat us so well.
I will start by saying this was a slow Tuesday evening with maybe 1/3 of the restaurant occupied. We waited over an hour for our food—no exaggeration. By the time it was finally ready, we had to ask for everything to be boxed up just so we wouldn’t miss our next event. The server and floor manager did apologize, but that was it. The floor manger stated that there were other tables that’s been waiting before us too. So they were over a hour as well. No effort to make things right, no discount, nothing. I spent $150 on food we had to eat hours later and mostly in the car.
When I finally opened my salad, I realized I had been charged $8 to “add chicken” and got maybe a few tiny strips—barely a quarter of a chicken breast. For that price, it felt insulting.
If this is considered great service and quality, then standards have really dropped. For what we paid and what we went through, Olive Garden would’ve been a far better experience—faster service, better portions, and actual hospitality.
This was supposed to be a special night for my wife, and instead, it turned into a frustrating, overpriced disappointment.
