The artichoke and spinach dip was the consistency of spinach baby food and tasted worse. The pita bread was ridiculously hard that came with it.
My shrimp risotto should be renamed shrimp ‘salt’tto, all I could taste was salt. My husbands chicken fettuccine alfredo had rubber textured chicken. I kept apologizing to my son because I wanted to show him fine dining with water views. The view was there, but my suggestion would be to enjoy it from your car and skip eating here.
Wait staff was good, water girl was on it. Everything else was a complete miss. Gross, just gross…. Incredibly disappointing for this price point. These chefs should be ashamed of themselves.
The food was exquisite. Italian wines. Prices reasonable for the place and food.
It has outdoor seating. The view is spectacular.
The service was on point
So honestly, it was very hard to rate this restaurant as one of the three dishes was excellent and I would go back just for that . However, if you ordered the Bolognese, you would never go back.
Service was amazing, Jeff assisted my family and I and gave his recommendations as well on what’s great on the menu. He definitely has a great personality and very friendly! Had 1 small issue and Jeff helped us out right away which was about the Pita chips being a bit cold when we ordered the spinach and artichoke dip (which was amazing). Jeff took that and heated up the pita chips and gave us extra on top. Service was fast and very professional.
Food was amazing. My family and I had the spinach and artichoke dip with the pita bread for an appetizer which was great (wish they heated up the pita chips but you have to ask them to). For entrees, my family and I had sandwiches and salads for entrees. The Parmigiana Eggplant and the Chicken one was amazing. The Salad’s were amazing too, all fresh ingredients. For dessert, we had the Tiramisu which was spectacular and was something to die for honestly. We ate everything and left nothing on any dishes!
Scenery was great, peaceful and quiet and you get a lake view if you’re outside or inside depending on where you sit.
Overall, I’d give this place a 9/10. Staff was friendly, food was amazing, good view, definitely a spot to 100% go to.
Unfortunately, GrubHub’s menu description for the cavatelli had some errors, excluding the sausage and replacing broccoli rabe with broccoli florets. But that’s not the restaurant’s fault. I don’t like spicy sausage, but that’s easy enough to pick around. However, the pasta was very bland and dry. It felt like I was eating unseasoned boxed pasta. The broccoli rabe was also pretty bland. I could only stomach a few bites of my dish, which was disappointing for the price.
The dryness could have been due to travel time, but the blandness is not excusable. Perhaps it would have been a better experience if I dined at the restaurant. I don’t recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a decent meal to go.
The mozzarella fritti is likely frozen mozzarella sticks with a sweet tomato sauce. “Cozze” mussels were very fishy. I ate three and they all tasted vastly different. For meals we got multiple different things. The linguine bayside I took one bite of and immediately sent back. The closest thing I can relate the flavor to is maybe a store bought microwaveable pasta dish? No flavor and tasted like it had been sitting for a while. Criminal at $32. They did end up taking it off the bill. We also got Salmon which had maybe a shake of pepper as seasoning otherwise was totally bare. Nona’s Sunday sauce which was sweet and the meat lacked any flavor. Chicken parm which was described by my father as “edible but not enjoyable”
We sat inside which has zero ambiance. It definitely felt very Applebees trying to be a nice restaurant. I can see sitting outside being better during the day with the view of the lake.
Needless to say we will not be returning. Save your Money and eat at home or drive to Saratoga for a decent meal.
