I was very impressed with this restaurant dispite the reviews.
The freshly made guacamole Dip made right in front of you telling them what to add was great. The portions were huge.

The chips are gluten-free and done in a dedicated frier so no cross-contamination. 100% the best Mexican food in Orlando with many options for gluten allergy or red meat allergy.
I had the chicken Nachos the plate was huge I couldn’t eat it all.
The were about to have live music before we left.
If you come the universal after 6pm the parking is free otherwise its 35 dollars to park before that time.
We decided to eat dessert later after all the food.

Would I recommend this restaurant? Absolutely
Would I return? Absolutely

Definitely give it a try if you have gluten-free or celiac. They take it seriously.

We sat at the bar. We didn’t go upstairs where they have additional seating. Very spacious indoor place with some outdoor seating. Loud. They had Spanish singing and dancing entertainment. We ordered beer and shared a chimichanga which tasted good. The chips and salsa were a very large portion and delicious, I’d return just for the chips and salsa. Overall, very good ambiance.

Antonio’s Authentic Mexican Restaurant is a great spot for tacos and Mexican food for a decent price (at Universal Studios City Walk). We got the Birria tacos ($25) and Enchilada plate ($25), chips and salsa are complimentary. For two people that was a filling amount of food to share. Drinks are pretty pricey, so if you want to drink be prepared to spent $15-$20 per drink. Totally worth it all though!

Antojitos is an excellent spot to experience truly authentic Mexican cuisine. The atmosphere feels genuinely vibrant — colorful décor, lively energy, music, and a style that instantly transports you right into the heart of Mexico. We walked in and immediately caught that amazing, flavorful vibe.

The food is rich, bold, and full of authentic spices and textures. Portions are generous, presentation is great, and the service is warm and friendly. You can tell the staff genuinely cares about creating a memorable guest experience.

A place worth visiting — and returning to. Five stars

If you need some solid food heading into Universal Studios, I wouldn’t suggest against going to this place. Everyone needs the classic rice and beans to get you through. And the beans did in fact slap. However – the Mojito had so much mint in it you could’ve told me it was a smoothie. Also, my friend is allergic to bell peppers and they unnecessarily had bell peppers in everything including the salsa. I know it’s technically her personal problem, but I think it was unnecessary to have bell peppers in salsa. I was really thankful that they did grilled shrimp tacos for me because there was no seafood taco options on the menu for some reason, but then two of my tacos came out with two shrimps and one of my tacos came out with only one shrimp. Can we even call that a shrimp taco? One would suggest it was a shrimp with a side of taco shell. Onto the things I did love. We ordered the guacamole and they brought a cart to the side of the table and it was a wonderful experience. Even when my friend took a video and turned on the flash, the server just smiled. There were also these babies with tattoos that I thought were really cool. And also, the mosaic tile sinks were really beautiful. I had to appreciate that. They need to decide on a singular color for all of their chairs though and also, I think it’s strange that the birdcages are only reserved for larger parties even when it’s slow. It’s just an odd flow to the restaurant. They also seated us directly next to a table of like 15 people, even though there was plenty of space elsewhere, but we moved ourselves, and it was no problem.

Dec 2025. We headed out of the park for an early supper and returned to the place we enjoyed here in 2018 with Andrea and James. The table Guacamole was so good 5 years ago, the 3 of us wanted to share it with Sarah and Normand on the trip.

Went last night for dinner and made sure we got there before the dinner rush. Last time (3 years ago) we tried eating here and the wait was over an hour long. Now that we’ve had the opportunity, we were able to see why the wait was so long.

They give you plenty of chips and salsa while you wait for your food. Nothing deceiving either and it was mentioned early and brought out with our drinks.

The menu is not vast by any means but they have options that should cater to most people. Even my son who is a picky eater found something. He ordered the steak quesadilla and eaten every bit of it. My wife order the beef birria tacos and she loved them. I order the chile relleno and it was prob one of the best I’ve ever had.

I love that they use Oaxaca cheese in a lot of there dishes as that’s my favorite.

Being at the City Walk and next to 2 major attractions, I felt the pricing was fair. Keep in mind this is not your neighborhood Mexican restaurant back home. Service was good and no part of our experience did we feel we waited too long for anything.

If we ever have the opportunity, we’d definitely return.

The food is reliably decent here. I’ve never had anything that was bland or felt overpriced (relative to what you’d expect in CityWalk). There’s usually bar seating and the staff is fairly attentive, which makes this a solid choice to keep in mind when you’re thinking of where to go after you’re done at the theme parks.
