We serve grass finished beef hamburgers from our ranch we work on, grilled New York steaks, Prime Rib on Saturday only (after 4pm) and some other delicious dishes and desserts that many travel the dirt road to come and enjoy! If you are ever in Young, Az., Antlers is a place you MUST try. The atmosphere is so inviting, with so much personality and history and EVERYONE is so friendly and welcoming.
Now let’s move on to the best part, the food!

Wife and I ate there 9/7/25 and food, service, and atmosphere were excellent! Had a patty melt, antler burger both with their hand cut fries and a piece of their delicious carrot cake for dessert.

My wife, 9 month old, and I went up to Young, AZ for valentine’s weekend and visited Antler’s Cafe & Grill. We wanted to get away and escape the business of the city life and we had such a beautiful and authentic small-town experience. It wouldn’t have been the same without our 2 separate visits to Antler’s. Thank you to all the staff and people who made our experience so pleasant and amazing. Can’t wait to be back!
FOOD:
We got the 4 course meal for Valentine’s day which included the BEST bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers, broccoli cheddar soup, and 14oz NY strip steak with baked potato, only to top it off with some brown sugar cinnamon apple cobbler and vanilla ice cream. YUM YUM YUM all the way across the board.
The next day for lunch we both got the Diamond Quality Beef burgers and boy oh boy were they worth it! Best grass-fed burgers I think I’ve ever had. So full of flavor! I got the Signature Burger with jalepeno coleslaw and fries on the side and my wife got a regular cheeseburger with fries. Make sure you get the burger with pink in it because it is SOOO tasty and full of flavor! We also got the Crispy Fish Tacos with the corn and the Butter Pecan Chicken which was perfectly moist and had an incredible sweet/savory taste to it! To top lunch off we got the Butter Cake and this was hands down the best butter cake I’ve ever had. DO NOT FORGET TO ORDER IT (like I almost did)!
SERVICE:
Not only was the food awesome, but EVERYONE there was so kind and welcoming. Our server Jennifer was so kind and sweet and helped us out when our baby was getting fussy and Jen, one of the kitchen staff, and Amy (owner) were all rotating taking turns holding him and playing with him so we could enjoy our food! SUCH AMAZING PEOPLE & SERVICE!!
ATMOSPHERE:
Everyone was so warm. Small town kindness and warmth everywhere you turned. I LOVED that they had 2 sides you could sit at, a family side and the bar side (which also had AMAZING live music). EVERY staff member that made eye contact with us came to say hello. EVERYONE had a smile on their face. And the atmosphere had to have been one of the warmest and welcoming a restaurant could offer. We also so appreciated the section on the family side with children’s books and toys and provides such a wonderful experience for families to be able to get food and relax while the kiddos have their own section to stay busy. We also had a chance to meet the owners Clay and Amy, because they were going around table to table to say hello and chat with the customers.

Way off the beaten path, lies this gem. I’ve eaten many burgers from around the world, none, hold a candle to “Their signature burger” it’s simply amazing in every way. They even raise and process their own grass fed beef!
Add the amazing homemade butter cake dessert, service, atmosphere, and, price, it seems almost unbelievable in this day and age.
This place is worth the trip, you’re missing out if you pass this up.

THE BUSINESS REVIEWER
So as a family we decided to go for a drive. We have never been to young AZ…. so we decided to drive the road from the back side of Roosevelt lake all the way up to the rim. As we were driving we decided To stop and young for some lunch. We came across Antlers Cafe, and boy oh boy I’m glad we did!!! We ordered some hamburgers and they were fantastic! The chicken fried steak was also fantastic! The Antlers signature berger is what I went with! It had grilled onions and bacon! It also has bacon jalapeño, Habanero pepper jam on it!!! Wow! The meat had to be 1/2 lb berger! This was definitely one of the best burgers I’ve ever had!!
The atmosphere in this restaurant is exactly what you would expect from a small town diner just elevated! It was sooo nice!! Good job guys!!

Enjoyed a great lunch with family and friends. Between us we had a pastrami special, a patty melt, a blt, salad and another special with bacon ham (and I forgot). Everything was excellent! I’m a patty melt fan and often they are thin, dry patties – well not this one! Thick juicy but not greasy and cooked to perfection (I like medium)
It ranks one of the best I’ve had. Their fries are yummy too. The salad was fantastic but a little heavy on the dressing. When this crowd eats in silence you know the food is good. The best thing was the desserts. My carrot cake was outstanding. Cake was moist and not too dense, the frosting creamy light and not overly sweet. Three of our folks had butter cake with strawberries and a luscious cream glaze. Nobody wanted to share.
Prices were very reasonable. We definitely recommend this place to everyone. We’ll take a trip up soon. Lots more great homemade choices to try

This hidden gem in Young is owned and operated by a local family who clearly found a passion in the restaurant business. The menu is loaded with American classics (steaks, burgers, sandwiches, & salads) and their scratch-made desserts are worth saving some room. The Signature Burger is arguably the best hamburger in all of Arizona and features beef raised on the owners’ cattle ranch just a few miles away. I realize that’s a bold claim, but I’ve traveled to every corner of this amazing state in pursuit of burger perfection and this is as good as it gets. I recommend ordering it Medium Rare or even Rare. The fries are cut fresh daily and make the perfect side for this burger. The schedule varies throughout the year to meet the needs of hungry locals, tourists, and outdoor enthusiasts, so take a moment to verify the hours before taking the trip and bring cash (ATM available inside). The no-frills bar is stocked with Arizona craft beers in addition to the usual choices. A dog friendly patio is available for well-behaved fur babies, and makes a great place to watch a beautiful sunset in Pleasant Valley.
