Really welcoming, lots of specials based on the day’s freshest catch. Chef owner was really hospitable, food was simple but delicious. Low key, would highly recommend.

Super high quality and fresh food I have never had before. Very friendly staff make you feel very welcome. We had salad with orange and cherry tomatoes with burrata, fresh tasty bread with it. Fresh fish that you can choose from the plate. I mean fresh fish is always the best and you are next to the see you should not miss this. Seriously. Giovanni was a very good server of ours gave us recommendations and perfect service.
Come and have a great Sicilian gourmet journey here on this breezy terrace chatting with other tables as you wish because people are super friendly and genuine here.

One of our best meals on our trip to Italy. The pistachio pasta with swordfish was divine! The sauce was perfect. We also had a bottle of local white wine that was so good we are going to order it when we get home. Highly recommend this place

Okay that was an easy 5 star restaurant.
The staff was amazing! Super friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, the service was very fast and the food was so fresh and warm.
The attention to detail, the beer glass was straight out of the freezer. What a great touch!
Also one of the very few restaurants that have music playing, it was very relaxing and cosy.
This is an amazing value-for-money restaurant, and if you’re in Syracuse for a day you must dine here. Don’t go anywhere else, eating here will worth your time!
We were two people, we had one starter, bread (included), one bottle of water, a glass of local wine, a 600ml beer, two mains and 2 desserts and we paid less than 70€.
You can’t get a better deal than this restaurant.

Also…you have to try the riccota dessert with the wine reduction sauce. Chef’s kiss!

Great restaurant in Ortigia. Amazing food made with love by the Chef Mirko. Very friendly and professional staff. We spent 3 days in Siracusa and we dined here twice. The Cannolo scomposto is an experience to try. Thank you for your great hospitality.

I have come to this restaurant the last 2 nights since coming to Siracusa. Mirko and his people have treated my wife and I like family. The food is unbelievable…..the best Burrata in Sicily….I have had the Sea Bream served table side as well all the crusted swordfish….both the best I’ve ever eaten. So, this may sound like most reviews….but Mirko has stopped at our table explaining which wine, which fish, which dish as prime and segundi…..and served them with love.

Tomorrow night, as my wife and niece go to a cooking class I plan on eating there again as a single…knowing that a feast is in store.

This made Sicily…..

10/10 would come again. The food was amazing and the seafood was very fresh. We got a ricotta bruschetta on the house, which was a pleasant surprise! A creamy delight. We started with the mussels as the appetizer – super fresh, sauce was superb. For our first main we got the clams spaghetti and the pesto pistachio pasta with swordfish. My first time trying pesto pistachio, but it was definitely worth trying! It blended harmoniously well with the swordfish. This was by far the best thing we had tonight and during our 2.5 day trip in Siracuse.

We ended with the grilled prawns secondi, thought we might as well try it out. I think it’s the same kind of prawns which you could buy from the mercato market (which is very close to where this restaurant is located), which was also decent.

Also, bonus points for the attentive service we got at this restaurant. We suck at eating mussels and prawns with forks/ spoons/ knives, so we had to use our hands. On both occasions, the server came with fancy scented wet wipes after so we could clean our hands for the next course. Bravo

All I can say is that every course we have eaten and the wines we have enjoyed in this restaurant today have been amazing. I can’t believe we found Antica Locanda on the very last day of our trip. Make sure you come or you are missing a treat.

The restaurant was a very positive experience. The food was great and I have to say, as family, we are not big fans of sea food. Yesterday I have changed my mind. My ‘paccheri with pistacchi, ciliegino and spada’ was absolutely delicious!
Everything else was at the highest standards, included the white wine suggested by the sommelier.
We will definitely go back to try other dishes…..in the meantime, we will enjoy the beautiful city of Siracusa.
