My sister and I visited Anthony’s on our last trip to Oxford. It was the first time we had been since the restaurant changed from its previous ownership. Anthony himself was there saying hello as we arrived. The staff was very warm and welcoming, and we were seated immediately. it’s a charming space, and there were quite a few more people there when we left than when we arrived. I ordered a seafood special, and my sister had the famous crêpe lasagna. My dish was saucy, and Anthony brought me a lanyard to be able to clip my napkin around myself as a bib, and I much appreciated it. The dish I had was tasty, and much of the seafood was cooked perfection, but I have to admit that the calamari was a little chewy. My sister had the crêpe lasagna where they use crêpes instead of noodles, layered with meat and cheese. The sauce is served over top and forms of moat around the lasagna. They do top it with cheese and brown it in the oven after it is plated. It has 1 million layers almost like a baklava. My sister said the ingredients were good, but she really preferred a noodle lasagna, as she likes the chewiness of the pasta versus the crêpes. she said it was just a personal preference, not that there was anything about the lasagna that wasn’t delicious. we would definitely come back and try some other dishes, because they were really good elements in both of our meals.

This is an absolutely phenomenal restaurant for authentic Italian cuisine. Anthony the owner and chef, does an outstanding job with his hospitality and quality of food. The service is excellent with the staff taking the utmost care of their patrons. I live a good 30 minutes away and will always make the drive out to Oxford for this restaurant. For how amazing the food, service, and atmosphere is, this restaurant does not get enough credit it deserves. More customers need to frequent this establishment to keep businesses like this running for years to come.

Was taken to Anthony’s by a local for my birthday dinner and I was in heaven! We both got specials for our entree ( short rib for me and veal for him) Spectacular! I couldn’t stop doing my happy eating dance with every bite.

I had the chicken picatta. It was not on the menu, but veal picatta was, so I asked if it could be done with chicken instead. The chef/owner Anthony was very happy to change it for me. The sauce was absolutely fantastic.

Our group of three thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Anthony’s- a very personable experience from start to finish. Our waiter Christian was very attentive and knowledgeable. We had a very reasonably priced Chianti Reserve which complemented our meals- 2 veal dishes and a ravioli special. Everything was cooked to order and Anthony personally visited each table to chat and check on all of the patrons. He has an extensive resume and the food reflects that. Rebecca is a great hostess and made sure all of our needs were met. We noticed another couple eating at the same time who had a gluten intolerance and it was accommodated. Our only regret was that we were so full we didn’t get to try any desserts, but there were plenty of choices. Anthony’s is a much needed addition to Oxford and a first class meal from the tablecloths, artwork, soft music and authentic Italian food!

What a lovely picturesque Italian restaurant. Attention to detail was found throughout the decor. Our server Christian was amazing. We started off with escargot which was to die for and the homemade bread was a delight to sop up all the juices. The Bolognese was out of this world! Even though I am not a wine drinker, their wine list was extensive. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who has a love of Italian food. Their portions are generous, and the staff is most attentive.

We visited Anthony’s last night for dinner. The food was fantastic. Anthony’s food transported us back to Italy where we visited a few years ago. His food was every bit as good as in the old country. Ordered the shrimp special for appetizer, cannelloni for main entree and seven sisters cake for dessert. Yummy. Can’t wait to go back. Our waiter was wonderful and fun. It was very nice meeting the chef; he wanted to make sure we were having a wonderful dining experience………, which we were. Loved the comfortable decor. Anthony’s is our new favorite restaurant on the eastern shore of Maryland.

I had a Caesar and a Shrimp Francese over linguine. The shrimp were cooked perfectly and the lemon reduction was outstanding. My wife had the Portfolio, which had shrimp, scallops, calamari and clams, which she loved. The portions were very generous. Anthony visited the table and was very helpful with our choices. Unfortunately we enjoyed the meal too much to have dessert….but we will be back very soon.

My husband and I had a wonderful Italian dinner at Anthony’s last week. The sophisticated atmosphere was achieved by 1) the decor, which consisted of prints of paintings by the Italian masters, as well as lovely vases and other Italian-inspired objects, 2. low-key, unobtrusive music from the rat pack era, and 3. the owner and chief chef coming out of the kitchen at various times to greet the guests at each and every table. We intend to revisit Anthony’s upon every future visit we make to Oxford.

Anthony’s is a new Italian restaurant in the area. The menu offers quite a selection of dishes. I tried a standard meat pasta dish and it was very good. The salad was also very good. An exception was the bread and their own olive oil/butter spread – they could have done much better on both. My one complaint would be the chairs. They were very uncomfortable, and it really was difficult to enjoy the dinner. Also, the table height was off – too high. So, good food, but uncomfortable seats.
