I like that they have a variety of seating options (bar stools, benches, window seats, etc.) and i like that you can seat yourself. This was our first time, so my partner and i ordered their dry rub roasted wings and a 16” pizza with mushroom and pepperonis. Service was fast. Everything tasted fresh. Environment is laid back, an edge above a regular sports bar… i like how it’s decorated tho It feels very cozy and it’s clean. Dude on the grill who i assume is the manager sings throughout the kitchen which was fun for us. I went on Xmas eve and everyone was friendly despite working on a holiday so i think I’d visit again 🙂

I came to Anthony’s in Kendall (88th Street) for the first time and was very disappointed. We ordered a 12” square Margherita pizza for $20.79, but when it came out, it was noticeably small. A regular 12” round cheese pizza is only $16.29, so how is it that the same size pizza costs significantly more just because it’s square?

When I questioned it, the person in charge said things are more expensive — but if that’s the case, why hasn’t the price of the regular pizza gone up as well? So because it has basil, it suddenly costs that much more? That explanation makes no sense. On top of that, the manager provided poor customer service and didn’t even give us plates to eat with.

Some people might think it’s a small detail, but it matters when customers are being overcharged. Labeling the square pizza as a “specialty” just to justify a higher price feels like a rip-off. Very disappointing experience and not the kind of treatment that makes customers want to return.

I’m extremely disappointed with the inconsistency in quality at Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza.

The Caprese pizza is actually quite good when you dine in — fresh, balanced, and properly made. However, ordering it for takeout is a completely different (and very frustrating) experience.

I chose takeout specifically to save time, but instead, I ended up wasting it. The pizza I received barely resembled what you get in the restaurant — almost no cheese and mostly dry crust. It felt like I paid for dough with minimal toppings.

Because of how poorly it was made, I had to go back and wait for them to remake it — which completely defeated the purpose of ordering takeout in the first place.

It’s unacceptable for the quality to drop so drastically just because the order is to-go. A restaurant should deliver the same standard whether you’re dining in or taking it home.

Until this inconsistency is addressed, I would strongly recommend avoiding takeout — especially the Caprese pizza.

Our first visit to the place was at night, and the experience was very bad. At the door, we were greeted by a lady with a very bad attitude, speaking in short phrases and not friendly at all. I believe customer service is essential, and it clearly failed here. I ate the pizza without enjoying it because of the bad experience. I will not be coming back. Good luck.

My boyfriend and I went for lunch/dinner since we hadn’t ate since early morning. We arrived and it took a bit before being provided with a menu, and when ordering our food we requested for sauces to eat along with the wings (buffalo and ranch) we only got blue cheese ? And my boyfriend needed his lemonade changed because it didn’t taste fresh. As well as my beverage strawberry lemonade but I didn’t want to continue to bring to the girls attention creating a negative experience. Coworkers seemed distracted with each other and just created a negative experience as a customer simple request weren’t met. Pizza was alright, and my boyfriend liked the wings (I personally found them to taste alright). Just think there should be a bit more attention to the customers and their request/needs.

Had an amazing experience at Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza in Kendall this past weekend! The food was as always, but what really stood out was the service. Mario, the manager, was awesome and made sure everything was perfect, and Yainelys was such a great server—attentive, friendly, and on point. Definitely one of my favorite go-to spots. Can’t wait to go back!

This is one of my go-to spots. I usually order the same thing every time: the wings and the arugula and prosciutto pizza. The pizza was amazing as always, and we also tried the tiramisu this time, which was pretty decent.
Unfortunately, the wings missed the mark. They used to be big, flavorful, and served with plenty of onions on top, but this time they were disappointing. I didn’t even take a photo, I think I was a bit in shock. I get that it was a busy Sunday afternoon, but that shouldn’t mean the quality of the food drops.

The service was also not great this time, and I’ve started to notice that the place feels a little more run down each time we visit. The tables were a bit beat up, the space didn’t feel very clean, and the overall vibe just wasn’t what it used to be.

Still love the pizza, but hoping things improve on our next visit.

My name is Anthony, and I have been living in Miami for 20 years but had never tried this pizza place before. What a waste of time that was, as this is the best pizza I have ever tried. The texture, the cheese, and the tomato sauce all seemed freshly made. But it’s not just the pizza that’s fabulous; the chicken wings are extraordinary, with the caramelized onions giving them a sweet taste. You must try this place.

Unfortunately, my family and I had a horrible experience. We only walked in for take out— the pizza had charcoal pieces in the middle of the dough. We asked for extra cheese on the pizza and received a side of cheese (shown in the picture) besides the arugula that we also ordered. The atmosphere was clean and nice but the workers were all laughing and not working with care. Just writing this hoping for improvement in this location but definitely, my family and I are not going back.
