Food was delicious. Worth the experience when it comes to food. Starters were yumm, pasta was yumm. Drinks were great. We fried squid dumplings they were great and so unique. Bao buns were delicious. There was this mango cigar rolls, it was nice but more of a dessert, don’t know why they have it in the starters menu. And the garden feeling makes it worth it.

We started with edamame hummus, which was smooth, flavorful, and a refreshing twist on a classic. The sushi was exceptionally fresh, beautifully presented, and perfectly balanced in taste. Each bite was a delight. The dim sum was another highlight—soft, well-filled, and bursting with authentic flavors.
Overall, it was a memorable dining experience with great attention to detail and quality. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys Asian cuisine done right. Will definitely be coming back! ️

The area outside is quite busy, surrounded by street food vendors and a lot of noise, which can feel a bit chaotic at first. However, once you step inside, the atmosphere becomes much calmer and more pleasant. The interior ambience is nice and welcoming, offering a clear contrast to the hustle outside.
That said, there can be a significant waiting time, so it’s best to plan ahead. The restaurant accepts table bookings over the phone, and priority is given even if you arrive late, which is a helpful arrangement. The food was good overall, and the service was well managed and attentive.
One major drawback, however, is the seating. The tables and chairs are very casual and do not support a comfortable dining experience. The tables are wobbly, making it difficult to place glasses securely, and the chairs are extremely uncomfortable. This negatively impacts an otherwise enjoyable visit. Replacing the existing tables and chairs with sturdier, more comfortable furniture would greatly improve the overall experience.

It is an aesthetically pleasing space that was a clear highlight for us. Furthermore, the quality of the food was very good, with a menu that successfully catered to the varied tastes within our group.

Anthe Cafe is a must-do in Pondicherry. I came twice, once for breakfast and once for dinner, and the food really delivers.
For breakfast, I had the halloumi toast along with a latte, which was excellent. Dinner was just as strong: garlic butter prawns, achari tofu, and sushi, all flavorful and well done.
The ambiance changes depending on the time of day. It is a chill, relaxed cafe in the morning and very lively with a nightclub-like vibe at night.
Overall, a wonderful experience and definitely worth visiting if you’re in Pondy.
