I love Asian fusion, so my partner made a reservation at Anqi to try it out. The food was overall good, with some small misses. They also gave an ice cream scoop and a candle for my birthday.

Note: They do charge an extra 3% on the bill that go to kitchen staff.

The service was nice and friendly. Though, the initial reception was a bit weird. When we walked in, dressed all nice (majority of the customers were very casual), the host asked, “How can I help you?” with a questioning tone of voice instead of a smile and being welcoming. It was as if he was wondering why we are here. Maybe he was just having a bad day.

* Award-Winning Tombo Tuna Tacos 5/5 – This wouldn’t be my usual go-to, but I really enjoyed it. The tuna was mildly spicy, packed inside a hard taco shell that tasted like a big Doritos chip. The yuzu kosho condiment was good and the caviar added a nice texture on top.

* Shrimp & Lobster Dumplings 3/5 – Tasted underwhelming. The sauce was mild, didn’t taste like much. The shrimp and lobster were grounded and mixed together, so you can’t taste the actual meat. It was reminiscent of a dim sum shrimp ball.

* AnQi Signature Prime Ribeye + Vietnamese Black Pepper Sauce 5/5 – The ribeye came out sizzling on a salt block where you can let it cook to your desired doneness. The ribeye paired amazingly well with the complex-tasting pepper sauce. Definitely the highlight of our dinner.

* Grilled Prawns 5/5 with Garlic Noodles 3/5 – The garlic noodles were garlicky and buttery. However, the noodles themselves weren’t good, kinda limp and overcooked, not chewy. The prawns were really good.

* Lychee Cloud Mocktail 5/5 – Delicious. It tasted like a sweet tropical dessert. Similar to a Pina colada but with a more creamy coconut flavor.

Had a group, the staff was very helpful and attentive! Food? A culinary experience. The table (even my keto friend!) loved everything. The steak was probably my favorite.

This is a great Asian fusion at the restaurant it has something for everyone. We came here with a party of four on a Sunday night, easily got a table not a problem. I’m guessing this place gets pretty packed on the weekend though. For appetizers we had Tombo Tuna Tacos and Shrimp & Lobster Dumplings. Both were very delicious and presentation was. Our entrees were Crispy Orange Peel Chicken, Misoyaki Butterfish, Grilled Prawn Garlic Noodles, Kung Pao Eggplant. And by far the eggplant was the winner for us all. Interestingly, they don’t give you chopsticks, which is kind of strange since it is a a Asian fusion restaurant, but apparently nobody cares. I would come back here but only for a special occasion.

Oops!…We Tried It Again.

What happened to this once great restaurant?

After being disappointed the last several times we were here, my Wife and I decided to take a break for a while. We decided to give it one last try.

It’s hard to believe the food is even worst than before.

If you plan on ordering the WAGYU DRUNKEN NOODLES, be prepared to be disappointed. If you’re wondering where the Wagyu Beef is, it’s the ground up looking substance mixed in with the rest of the dish. They call it “diced Wagyu” , but if it were diced , the Wagyu would remain in cubes or chunks of meat, allowing you to experience its superior quality. How they serve it is more like mush.

We also ordered the GRILLED OCTOPUS AND PAPAYA SALAD. The Octopus should have come out grilled and nicely charred, however what we were served was not and was soggy from being unfrozen with a light coat of uncooked batter.

My wife also ordered the HEAVENLY PEAR MARTINI. We used to really enjoy this drink. Unfortunately, they eliminated all of the good ingredients needed to make this the way they used to. Now it just tastes like a bitter, tart lemon drop. Good by pear.

We do not recognize this restaurant anymore and we won’t be coming back again any time soon.

Every dish we ordered tastes so good. We ordered a lot of dishes, the most popular one at our table was the lobster dumpling and butterfish.
The price is high.
Service is good.
It’s a good option for special occasions. Highly recommended.

AnQi Bistro is so good. They do a good job of blending different Asian flavors together. My favorite is the Eggplant, the way AnQi does eggplant is better than any other Asian style I know however on my 3rd visit the eggplant was soggier than the first 2 times and all the times after. The lamb chops were exploding with flavor and the butter fish was cooked perfectly. The service is pretty good and the atmosphere was just so cool. AnQi does have some consistency issues but overall it is very good.

If you’re in for Asian fusion dishes, this is a great spot for you. Awesome presentation on each dishes. Have to try all their specialties. Reservation is highly recommend on weekends. The lounge chairs for some of the tables is a great touch but it’s the most uncomfortable chair.

This place is absolutely amazing. Not cheap but worth every penny. I tried the lamb chops. They were delicious!!! My guest was a vegetarian and was very pleased with their food choices.
Service was phenomenal.

I really wanted to enjoy my dinner at AnQi, especially given the price point, but the experience fell short in a few important ways.

I ordered the lobster, and unfortunately it was overcooked and extremely tough. The claws were fine, but the tail portion was almost inedible — not what you expect from a dish at this level. The noodles that came with it were actually great, but they couldn’t make up for the main item being so poorly executed.

My lady friend ordered a rum and Coke, and the drink tasted off right away. When I asked the waiter what rum they used, he said Captain Morgan, which I normally enjoy. After digging a little deeper, he mentioned they used Pepsi instead of Coke. If a customer asks for a Coke, you shouldn’t substitute Pepsi without saying anything. It completely changed the taste of the drink.

After spending over $200 on dinner, the experience should have been close to perfect. Sadly, it wasn’t. I’m not sure if I’ll be coming back, but I do hope someone in management sees this and takes it seriously.
