The first time we went there, I had gotten the lobster bri and omelet with a side of country potatoes. I was immediately blown away of how the potatoes were salted. It felt like a perfect amount. Then the omelet was my first experience. And gave me an excellent first time. Like a date with someone you had a crush on and she’s actually a 10 in the personality department too. English muffin was… an English muffin. The server was very attentive and wasn’t overwhelmingly so. I got 2 cups of coffee unprompted and didn’t get those shakes you get cause you wanted that 1 other 6th coffee. Service felt like it was down to a science. This was inside on those high tables and it felt nice. A bit cold, but I feel like thats just how resturants are. Better to be a bit chill than hot.
The second time around, it was outside. Great view. Felt warm even though the weather was just calm. And the food my wife and I got was so welcoming. And service was still exceptional.
This will be my personality for breakfast and brunch for a hot minute. Would definitely recommend to all who will listen.
I found the decor charming and the service staff attentive. As first timers we were given complimentary biscuit beignets. I really liked the honey marmalade though I found the beignets a bit tough.
We shared a green tea matcha lemonade with mint which was tasty.
My partner ordered a sausage omelet and had the mushrooms on the side since he doesn’t like ’em and I love ’em. The mushrooms were very tasty while the omelette was a bit overcooked and thus dry.
I had the half stacked sandwich and cup of gumbo. The sandwich was unfortunately soggy on the bottom half and the soup lukewarm. I found both dishes to be heavy in oil/butter.
My conclusion was our meal may have been delayed in having been brought to the table.
Pictured below: strawberry pound cake French toast & cinnamon roll French toast! Both 10/10!!!!
Thanks Ashleigh!
