From the moment our meals arrived, it was clear that a lot of care goes into the preparation and presentation. Everything tasted incredibly fresh and well-made. The ingredients were high quality, the portions were generous, and the flavors were excellent. You can really tell the kitchen takes pride in what they serve. It’s rare to visit a breakfast place where every part of the meal stands out, but that was definitely the case here.
The atmosphere was also very welcoming and comfortable. The restaurant was clean, the staff were friendly, and the service was attentive without feeling rushed. It created a relaxed environment where we could sit back, enjoy our food, and have a great start to the day.
What impressed us the most was how much better the food was compared to many other breakfast spots that have multiple locations. While there are plenty of options out there, this location truly stands out because of the quality and consistency of the food.
However I’ve never held back in the past and I’m not going to start now.
My Young Beautiful Bride and I were in Lafayette, so we decided to find a place for breakfast, and we wanted to find a place that we have never eaten before, so we found Another Broken Egg.
The atmosphere was truly amazing and we had great expectations for a delightful breakfast, the restaurant was extremely clean, as well as extremely crowded.
Thus giving us the impression that this place was popular.
I have to keep reminding myself that this is a college town, the majority of the patrons were students, in fact we had to ask a young couple where the restaurant was located.
We parked in the rear of the building and apon entering we were in a hallway running left and right, no signs, so we went right… dead end.
We started going back the other way when we chanced upon a young couple that were also lost, together we finally found our way to the restaurant.
We were able to get right in, our waitress was extremely friendly, she took our drink and food choice orders and in just a short time she bought our food and My Young Beautiful Brides ice-tea….
I thought the food was rather tasteless, biscuits were hard, when we finished eating, they still hadn’t bought me my ice-tea, I tipped our waitress rather well because I know it’s not her fault.
Nevertheless, and sad to say that we will definitely not be visiting this place again anytime soon.
(American food) restaurant I’ve ever eaten in Lafayette.
Everything on the menu made me wanna get it and it all looks so appetizing.
The service was absolutely incredible and we actually had a seat right as we walked in!
The menu is huge with amazing options
In great service.
It’s actually very cheap for everything we got and we are definitely coming back here next Sunday for brunch.
Even my own if you have to drive out of the way to get here it’s 100% worth it!
Our server, Adeline was engaging, knowledgeable about the menu, and checked back in frequently. She never judged us by the gluttonous amount of food we ordered! Seasonal Shrimp & Grits, biscuits and gravy, chicken breakfast sandwich, and cinnamon roll french toast. (Note: we did take plenty home to enjoy later) Topping off the meal was an offer of a cup of coffee to go. Yes, please!
We fully enjoyed our meal at Another Broken Egg Cafe.
Two things to keep in mind. The smaller tables for two are small in space. Parking is in the rear and you enter what appears to be an apartment or business complex.
We were there after a half marathon was ran in town, so it was pretty busy, despite that everything was top notch!
I had the Floridian – a crab and cream cheese omelette that I wasn’t sure about ordering, but was delicious!
Our waitress, Jordyn, was about the nicest person ever, was perfect timing everything!
Definitely a place I would recommend to anyone! Ask to sit in Jordyn section!
We had Abby who was very attentive and accommodating!
