This a 3 star kind of deal. I do hate to give a bad review to a place the first time I go, but this was justified. Most of this review is not about our server. She was hustling. I think she really had to because everyone else was grouped up in the kitchen.
It took a moment for the person working the front to leave the kitchen to come out & seat us. A few tables were occupied, interspersed throughout the room. The encounter with the person who seated us was a bit odd because there wasn’t anything pleasant about this person. Now, we walked in at 10:40 am. There was a large party in the back with a few others that seemed to be the responsibility of our server.
I ordered the Bourbon St. Pancakes with eggs & sausage. The Man ordered buttermilk pancakes with the same sides. My eggs were lukewarm, the pancakes tough to cut, but the sausage was fine. The coffee was tasty, not burnt or off flavored. The Man stated his was just cold all the way around. This is a bad sign when you can see people standing around talking rather than getting the food out. I had a clear view of the kitchen from our vantage point.
This isn’t a hangry review or anything other than an honest assessment. Rather than waste time sending back our food to the overflowing kitchen, we powered thru so that we could leave. It took so long for us to get our food, we didn’t want to sit through the lunch rush trying to get warm food while our server was trying to keep up. I think if we go to Another Broken Egg it will be in Another City.

very cute breakfast spot! service was fantastic and food was great except for my cinnamon roll French toast. the dough wasn’t fully cooked which was a little off putting. everything else was delightful and the cinnamon roll French toast is great if cooked properly! we also had the breakfast beignets, coffee, and my mom had an omelet with grits.

Stopped in for a quick hot breakfast this morning. I wanted some grits, and when I saw they had shrimp, and grits, I definitely placed my order at the bar. I also had to try their BLT which was delicious! The service was very inviting, and friendly. Loved the atmosphere!

We were on a waiting list between 45mins-1 hour, but it felt like it was more than a hour and we did not receive a notification until after my sister went back inside to address the timing concern. Besides that issue, it was a nice environment and the food was pretty good. The waitress was down-to-earth and was friendly. The food was pretty good, I got shrimp and grits, and beignets.

We had a lovely Saturday family brunch today.
I had the corned beef hash, my partner had the Cajun omelette, my daughter had the cookie dough waffle, and my niece had the chicken and waffles. We enjoyed the spiked vanilla cold brews as drinks. All items were delicious!
Jayden was our server and ensured our experience was enjoyable. Her pleasant attitude and extra attention to our two golden doodles was especially appreciated. 10/10, can’t recommend the food and service enough.

Came here for breakfast and had the Apple Fritter French Toast, so good, big portion and perfectly cooked. Loved it! It came with scrambled eggs and patties. The patties were a bit too greasy for me, but that is just personal preference. We were greeted right away and shown to our table. Service was fantastic, super friendly and great with recommendations. Prices are very fair for what you get. Small tip, the salt shakers could use an update. We had to try a few with our server before finding one that worked since most were too moist and clumpy.

This is the best brunch I’ve come across yet in Columbia. The location was clean, customer service was amazing and the food was superb. This is definitely a must visit if you’re in the area and try the lamb chops, you won’t be disappointed.

I must say that this visit was the absolute best. Cherish was amazing. We came to celebrate our cousin’s birthday! They are visiting from El Paso and they have already said they want to come back before they leave. The food was delicious and Cherish’s hospitality and beautiful smile made the experience a memorable one.
