My wife practically devoured the French Onion soup the Nachos yum so good with real meat and real thick cheese not the fake runny stuff. I had the sirloin burger they were generous with the jalapeños, but I just scooped them off with a spoon and it was soooo good, tasted like eating a steak with a hint of spice. The wife had the hot turkey meal a plate full of goodness, no lack there. Plus to top that off I had a milkshake you can tell it was made from real ice cream from a nearby farm, thick and delicious the scenery is beautiful too

Enjoyed unexpected lunch here. Best patty melt I’ve had in years. Perfect rye bread and cheese. Will make it a point to go another time for something else. Took a pic of my wife’s grilled cheese (also good) and the coleslaw was a pleasant bonus.

i miss the old Burger Den, the service was much better as well as the menu. Our waitress at Anita’s barley spoke, didn’t smile and not friendly. The burger was over cooked and tasted like a frozen burger. I used to love it there, and traveled from MA just to stop there for a good lunch. I hope things get better. But reading other reviews, I’m glad I’m not the only with this feeling about the new owners.

A family run staple of the community, the locals all go to this restaurant and it is a must see whenever you are visiting this region of New York. The food is fresh and the staff are welcoming.

My initial reaction to looking over their menu was “wow that is a big menu!” There are so many options to choose from that it can be a little overwhelming to decide what to choose from. I recall hearing from somewhere that having a simple menu is always the way to go.

We decided to visit the Burger Den for breakfast on our last day in Cambridge. The hours of operation are 8am-2pm, breakfast is served all day. Upon entering we were immediately greeted by the staff who welcomed us and instructed us to chooses any table of our liking indoors or outdoors. Our server came over to our table less than five minutes welcomed us and handed over the menus and took our drink orders. Came back with our drinks and proceeded to take our orders. Our server did inform us The corned beef hash is house made so one of us ordered that along with an omelette. I ordered a breakfast sandwich on a roll with a side of breakfast potatoes. Our other guest order an everything bagel with eggs and cheese. Our food came out hot and fresh, the bread was so fresh! We all truly enjoyed our meal from the service to the atmosphere to the location and view. Will definitely be visiting again when in Cambridge.

☕️ The unsung upstate hero of Comfort Food! Breakfast is breakfast but BD’s omelettes are Michelin Star quality ✨seafood is shockingly fresh. ✨ bacon-wrapped scallops are to die for! Burgers are juicy and bodacious… ✨extra-man points if you down the 15oz in one sitting. ✨The salads are generous… dig on the antipasto with grilled chicken, enough for two meals. ✨& nothing beats a shot & a cold brew at the end of hard week. The Den is often packed & count your stars when it’s not. Beautiful view of the lake. Lovely old school chefs and waitress… if only the rest of the USofA could get a clue

The high rating is for the old ownership. As I pulled into the parking lot, another couple pulled in at the same time, I asked them if the food here is still good..”they said it’s not as good as the old ownership but the portions are plentiful” we gambled and gave it a shot.

– the portions were indeed generous..but tasteless.

My partner had a long black hair in her turkey and stuffing sandwich and my tasteless burger was an absolute joke

The French fries were the same quality and unseasoned you’d buy frozen from a grocery store.

Later that evening I felt sick. Not only could I 10 Billion % cook better food myself… which was in itself annoying having paid for it, but to make matters worse I got sick.

Again.. the current ratings are all old reviews. Keep driving and remember this review while smiling knowing I saved your guts torture.

The waitress was nice. And left her a 20% tip. It’s not her fault the incompetence in the kitchen but if you..the waitress asked me how it was? I said not bad.. cause I felt bad she was probably having a slow night.

Go. Somewhere. Else. And I will be calling the health department for an inspection request.

Unique familial restaurant which excels at burgers but other wholesome fare as well. Friendly waitstaff and lots of natural light. Unpaved parking lot and two picnic tables for al fresco dining, weather permitting. Clean bathroom but no wi-fi. In October 2021 the Washington County Libertarian Party hosted Larry Sharpe at this location during his second historic gubernatorial campaign.

Excellent Patty Melt with Chips and Pickles paired with a delicious glass of Sangria. Our waitress, Kate, was lovely and attentive. We will be back!

The last time I had been here was about ten years ago. It has changed completely, now with an outdoor patio and partially renovated interior with a much better bathroom setup. Almost everything is homemade, except the kids Mac and cheese, which is Kraft. I suggest throwing away all but one Kraft box. The rest of the food was very good, believably homemade. We had some small billing issues that were corrected easily, although, clarification from the wait staff about extra charges for substitutions would have helped prevent this. Overall it was a good experience and good food.
