I was really looking forward to trying this place based on the strong reviews. Unfortunately, my experience was pretty underwhelming.
I ordered a deep-fried California roll and hibachi. The roll had very minimal flavor and wasn’t fully fried, so there was no crunch at all. It also didn’t come with eel sauce or spicy mayo as described, which made it even more bland.
The hibachi was okay but not impressive for the price. The shrimp were slightly chewy, the steak was decent but nothing memorable, and the vegetables were cut very small and lightly seasoned. The yum yum sauce was very thin and didn’t stick well when dipping.
It wasn’t terrible, just not worth $30 in my opinion. I may give it another shot dine-in at some point, but this visit didn’t live up to the reviews.

These Dudes aren’t playin around! Go check them out. They have a huge menu and the food is cooked to order. I got the Steak and Shrimp Hibachi combo. The food was Great! Everything was cooked perfectly and well seasoned.

Their wasabi is pretty great compared to some of the sushi I’ve consumed in other stores.
I ordered an OMG roll and it wasn’t that “omg” but it was still pretty good. Chefs special sauce is sweet and nice but can’t compare to eel sauce and spicy mayo together. I’ll have to try their other ones but so far love the sushi and loving their wasabi.

We are house sitting for family in Salem. They recommended that we try this place. I am so glad they did !! It was incredible ! Delicious! Very fast service. Maybe ten minutes from ordering to being ready. The people are great. Very nice personable and willing to change or replace whatever you order to your liking. I can’t recommend highly enough. Giant portions !

Amazing spot in Salem! Excellent Japanese food. The burger was outstanding and sushi sooo good. Chill atmosphere with a patio allowed our family to eat outside. Good vibe.

Let’s start off with that I called the place five minutes after they were closed. When I got them on the phone and asked what time they close and they told me five minutes ago, but the gentleman on the phone was more than happy to offer to still make my food and have me come pick it up. I thought that was amazing customer service. I actually didn’t get to the place until 8:45 PM which is 15 minutes after their close time. I ordered two chicken hibachi with noodle and one steak hibachi with noodle. Everything was excellent with a lot of food in the dish. I appreciate you guys and it is a wonderful site to see such a quality business in a small hometown like Salem. Keep up the good work and I will remain a loyal customer. Very clean!
