Right off of OH67, this is the epitome of your typical “dive bar” as they are a small business run by family, cater to locals—including motorcycles—with a very relaxed atmosphere. There’s a summer backyard area that fenced in for outside dining and parties, including bike nights.
I rode on a fall Saturday with some Harley friends and we were not disappointed. Large servings, an awesome thin crust pizza pie special and cold beverages! I’m not sure how I didn’t know about this place before, but plan to return!

You know what? Food and service and were absolutely five stars, no matter what. I’d fight anyone who says the reuben at Angle Back isn’t one of the best ones around. Not only is it HUGE, it’s *full* of flavor!
There’s something magical that happens when you grill marbled rye and stuff it with dressing, cheese, sauerkraut, and corned beef, and the whole thing weighs in at a pound. Add on an entire jumbo Idaho potato turned into crispy curly fries, and you’re in for a treat!
This can *easily* serve two.
Now I gave five stars for atmosphere. The atmosphere of this place will *not* appeal to everyone. It is “lived in.” That means it’s rustic. It’s real. There was a friendly biker sitting at the second bar enjoying a beer and playing classic rock deep album tracks on the jukebox. The wood paneling and wooden beams are likely a little darker from years of pre-smoking-ban nicotine. I’d imagine it can get pretty loud and rowdy later on. We were there around six thirty, on a Thursday. It’s not a Columbus café. It might be one star for some folx at another day and time. I understand, perfectly.
All of that having been said, if you’re near Marseilles and feeling hungry, don’t drive anywhere else. This place has great eats, great service, and when we were there, great atmosphere!

Wonderful ladie running the place by herself, and my only complaint would be the lack of any tv on for McAfee show.. lol Was served good hot food in about 20min. Way faster than what we experienced in Upper.. We’ll be back to try some of the desserts.. Fresh strawberry pie….

Great atmosphere. Nice little diamond in the rough. Nothing fancy but a nice spot to get a drink and filling stick to your ribs kind of meal. Homemade pies and fresh potatoes sliced and fried to order. I’ll be coming back more than a handful of times.

It’s a awesome little place. Nice pool table! I brought home two subs my wife got a pizza sub that comes with 4 toppings and I got the Italian sub. The wife and I loved them. They weren’t skimpy on the meat it’s packed full! Can’t wait to go back for pool and food.

It’s a great place to get fantastic diner style food. It’s the real deal, not a bunch of canned/frozen/pre-cooked stuff. Their fried pickles are fantastic. Most places don’t get them right but Angle Back does. They have friendly servers and a comfortable atmosphere as well. It’s not a stuffy restaurant with cloth napkins but the food here is probably better.
