The menu, like a good story, is both familiar and inviting, edged with surprises. Patrons, some weary from the night before, others bright-eyed and seeking, find solace in the promise of breakfast served all day. It’s a declaration of independence from the tyranny of time, a small rebellion savored with every bite of eggs and bacon long after the morning has passed.
Among the offerings, the TRIO FAJITA stands as a testament to hearty sustenance, a union of shrimp, chicken, and steak priced at $25.95. It’s a dish that speaks of journeys and convergences, flavors mingling like characters in a narrative, each with its own story yet contributing to a shared destiny. The sizzle and smoke of the fajitas echo tales of distant lands and homecoming, a reminder that even the most wandering soul seeks the warmth of familiar hearthfires.
And then, the BIRRIA TACOS. They are not just food; they are an experience–a slow, delicate unraveling of flavors and textures. Each bite is a paragraph, dense with history and spice, a craft akin to homemade . The meat, tender from its long marination, pulls apart like the layers of a well-crafted narrative, revealing not just the skill of its making but the heritage of its origin.
Angie’s, is not merely a luncheonette. It’s a microcosm of life’s enduring simplicities and fleeting joys. Here, amid the clatter of dishes and the murmur of conversations, the world narrows to the moment, to the plate before you, and the people beside you.
In a way, Angie’s embodies a purity–stripped of pretense, focused on the essence. Life, it suggests, is not unlike a meal at Angie’s: simple, yet profound; fleeting, yet filled with the possibility of meaning and connection. And in this space, one finds a reflection of our own ethos: that in the straightforward and unadorned, there lies depth, truth, and beauty.
The service and atmosphere were also really nice and the price was more than reasonable. We have lived all over the country and this is some of the beet food we have had.
If you’re in the area and need a bite to eat, I doubt Angie’s will let you down. There menu was pretty extensive and “Mexican cuisine” was only a small portion of it.
Enjoy!!!
My favorite , from the Mexican menu , is the “torta a la Milanese” chicken sandwich.
I wish they would add more traditional Mexican dishes and drinks to their menu. I think Bordentown is ready to experience the full flavors of the Mexican cuisine, other than tacos and burritos.
