I had a wonderful experience stopping by Angela’s Caribbean Cuisine. She let us try some samples (stew chicken, jerk chicken and pork) everything was delicious!! That macaroni !! I must say everything on my plate ️ was amazing! Can’t wait to go back her other specialty dishes

This is real comfort food – soul food – food made with love. Every bite was perfectly seasoned, so tender, rice was cooked perfectly, the sweet plantains were the best I’ve ever had in my life and practically melted in my mouth. Sweet potatoes, cornbread, everything tasted like true home cooking. The owner served it up herself, and she was incredibly kind and generous with the portion sizes. This is a great value for real, delicious food. I’ll be going back many times!

Amazing Caribbean cuisine here… my family and I drove out for it and honestly it was so worth it. I’d say drive to Hawthorn JUST for Angela’s food. Nothing like this anywhere nearby that we’ve tasted. The stewed chicken was so flavorful and soft, and the empanadas are made fresh to order and not too oily at all.

Wow! What a great meal! The jerk chicken is moist and flavorful, the seasoned rice is delicious, and the red beans full of flavor. Of course can never go wrong with Mac and cheese!

We stumbled upon this gem weeks ago when one of our restaurants power went out. Every dish we’ve tried here so far has been phenomenal. We tried the jerk chicken, stewed chicken, chicken empanadas (not dry at all), all the sides. As an avid cook myself I can tell that Angela put a lot of love and thought into her food. Her seasoning is on point; she makes even the sides stand out. Her spicy rice is surprisingly very comforting to the belly. Lets just say we are huge fans and looking forward to her catered meals!

Authentic homemade Caribbean food! We enjoyed the spicy rice, mac and cheese, cornbread, jerk chicken, and spicy red beans, such a delicious combo. The flavors are absolutely delightful for great price. Highly recommend, go try it!

I had been looking for some good Caribbean food near me and this place did not disappoint. Jerk chicken, empanadas, 2 different kinds or rice, green beans and other vegetables all really good. The mac and cheese is some of the best I have ever had. Topped it off with one of their individual cakes. Highly recommend and would go back time and time again.
