We had a great meal here. The steak with shrimp is fantastic – could have had more refried beans and double the chimichurri sauce. The Braised Beef tacos were amazing. ** Would also be nice to have chips and salsa as a complimentary starter. I had a blood orange margarita which was very good. Look forward to returning and trying an assortment of tequila.

Love the food, margaritas and relaxing atmosphere. Modern decor and chill vibe. We sat on the roof top a in the summer and winter. The view of the sunset was amazing. Different dishes from other Mexican restaurants. Cactus was something new we tried tonight, pretty good.

We had Amanda as our server and she was great! We ordered fish, chicken, and pork tacos. Out of those, the pork carnitas were our favourite. Tableside guac was also very fun and a great bite before.

We indulged in a couple margaritas – trying the Maui, mango, spicy coconut, and guava flavours. The Maui was the sweetest and yummy!!

Thanks Amanda and Anejo!

I’ve been here 3 times now and every time nothing short of amazing! When I came first it was with my baby and we requested some cucumbers for her and they cut them the proper way for her to hold and everything! Delicious margaritas and food! The only thing that wasn’t my favourite was the lemon cake but that was just personal preference. Everything else I tried I would for sure get again. Everyone’s always so friendly and happy and it’s a great atmosphere.

I had such a great experience at Añejo tonight. My server, Andy, was amazing and I hope I’m spelling her name right because she deserves recognition. She had a smile on her face the whole time, gave wonderful service, and was so genuine that it made the evening even more enjoyable.

I started with the House Salsa Tasting and swapped the salsa roja for extra black beans, which was a great choice. For my main, I had the quesabirria with a flour tortilla, and we also tried six tacos, three on flour and three on corn. The corn tortillas have a bit more flavour but fall apart a little easier. I tried the chicken, beef, and fish tacos, and I’d rate them an 8 out of 10. They’re even better with the sauces on the table.

The quesabirria was rich, juicy. It was a little oily this time but still really good, so it didn’t matter much. It’s $28 for three tacos, which is a bit pricey, but the flavour and quality make it worth it.

The guava margarita is my favourite drink here, although it can be a little sweet sometimes. The other cocktails were well made. Except, I tried the sangria tonight and sent it back. Definitely not my favourite.

I was a little disappointed that happy hour now starts at 10 PM instead of 9 PM. However, the music, lighting, and overall vibe were perfect.

Went during happy hour and the tacos and drinks were amazing. The prices were very reasonable. It was pretty busy which gave the place a really good vibe. Amanda was our server and she was so sweet and amazing the whole time!

First time coming here, came here for their Taco specials. We ordered a bunch of different tacos and they were pretty good. The tables are pretty small though if you come with only two people. I would ask for a bigger table if you order lots of food. Drinks are good. Parking can be a little bit of an issue but we found parking that day. Service was good. Need to come back to try some more items.

This joint has a great vibe with awesome decor and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The guacamole was really good but I felt the chorizo taco fell a bit short on flavour and the braised beef taco was a bit chewy. The spicy mayo they have on the table was amazing on everything and enough to make me want to come back and try other menu items.

A vibrant Mexican restaurant and tequila bar with bold flavours, lively energy, beautifully crafted cocktails, and one of Edmonton’s standout all-season rooftop patios. A great place for gathering with friends, enjoying a festive atmosphere, and settling in for a memorable evening.

For a fuller picture —
Añejo carries the kind of lively, sociable energy that makes an evening here feel like more than just dinner. It works equally well for a relaxed meal, a celebratory group outing, or a spirited date night. The menu leans into bold Mexican-inspired flavours with dishes designed to be satisfying and shareable, while the beverage program adds another layer of fun with a strong tequila and mezcal focus alongside cocktails that feel thoughtfully crafted.

Design plays a big role in the experience. The restaurant is visually striking, with warm lighting, colourful accents, and layered textures that give the space a vibrant yet comfortable atmosphere. One of the highlights is the rooftop patio, which extends the appeal of the restaurant across seasons — cozy and inviting during Edmonton’s colder months and bright, open, and full of life when the weather warms up. It’s easily one of the more enjoyable patios in the city.

Service is friendly and attentive, helping keep the evening flowing smoothly even when the room is busy. Between the upbeat atmosphere, well-prepared food, and polished drinks program, Añejo stands out as one of Edmonton’s go-to places for a lively night out.

The food at Añejo was amazing and tasted very authentic. Everything was excellent except the Mexican rice, which unfortunately tasted undercooked. Overall though, the flavours were great. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, and the staff were really friendly and welcoming. Definitely worth visiting.
