Añejo Mexican Bistro and Tequila Bar opened it doors in July of 2018, with a similar downtown vibe as its original location but also features a one of a kind seasonal Beechtree Taqueria in the rear. Both locations offer a fun, sophisticated atmosphere for cocktails, and take full advantage of fresh seafood and local produce to offer authentic Mexican food with a Cape Cod twist.

My favorite cape cod restaurant! The BEST margaritas. Their tacos, queso, guac are unmatched. This is the place to go with friends or family, such a fun atmosphere and consistently good food! Only complaint is they always have an amazing yearly rotation of vegetarian options but only offer one at a time. It would be nice for a second option (please bring back the buffalo cauliflower asap!) or special but regardless I will be back because it is the best

We had a great experience! We went as a family and were very well taken care of. The food was well-seasoned, light, and authentically Mexican. Prices are reasonable, averaging between $20 to $30 per person per dish.
The only downside was being seated near the restroom. It seems there’s only one, and the door opens directly into the dining area, which felt a bit inconvenient. The layout could definitely benefit from better architectural planning.
Other than that, our server Rachel was wonderful and made the experience very pleasant.

Everything we had was delicious! We came late around 9pm for dinner but it was still high energy and great vibes. I ordered the chicken quesadilla with a side of rice and loved it. The quesadilla was delicious and the rice was amazing and so flavorful. For drinks I had their Moscow mule which was good and made quickly. Overall it was a fun meal!

Tortilla chips are excellent, chicken tacos were good and filling, burrito with veggies was good, kids Mac n cheese was apparently ok. Drinks were amazing, particularly the spicy guava and strawberry margaritas. Cute atmosphere and lovely service!

Food was good . Service was good. We ordered queso with our drinks but everything came at once, including our tacos. Lively place . It was a bit loud , hard to have a conversation. Overall a good place to eat. Just wasn’t great.

What a lovely spot! My first time visiting this restaurant and it did not disappoint. We opted to eat under the huge and shady beech tree, and I’m so glad we did. In spite of the day being hot, it was shady, breezy and quite magical to dine under this majestic tree! The food was great – not at all “Taco Bell” type Mexican. It was fresh and tasty and not at all greasy and heavy. I had a chicken quesadilla and others had the fish tacos – which looked really great. I also had a fruity and refreshing sangria. Overall a lovely experience and I will def be returning. There is plenty of parking in a free public lot directly across the street and only a short walk to Anejo. I recommend you try it!

Chips and salsa were great, chips were served warm. We got a side of guacamole that was delicious. The poloze was too salty to eat.
All the tacos we ordered were yum
Great atmosphere.

Stopped in at Anejo for lunch before a show & wasn’t sure if we’d be able to be seated in time as it was busy. Luckily for us, the wait was only about 25 min. We found some seats at the bar & we were greeted promptly as well as offered chips & salsa. I ordered a raspberry mojito, which was delicious & refreshing! The host takes down your phone number & you get a link sent to your phone so you can track how long you’ve been waiting as well as see how many parties are ahead of you. Our estimated wait time was accurate & the waiters were just as friendly & attentive as the bartenders. I ordered the langosta (lobster) enchiladas, which were amazing! Portions were large, but I managed to finish it without having any leftovers. It was that good! I can’t wait to try the Plymouth location that opened recently!

What a lovely dining experience!! Seems to be a truly popular spot, as folks kept coming especially for Taco Tuesday ( the day we went for lunch). The tacos were $3 each and were definitely delish!! Authentic Mexican food and cocktails. The service was very nice . Beautiful ambiance , except a little too much sun if you sit at the front table behind the host stand. Maybe a half shade would be helpful. I bet it’s beautiful at moonlight, though.
The chips and salsa were amazing, as well as the quesadillas , scallops, and lobster mac and cheese
The menu looks teasing, and all we have was really delish!

This was the fastest meal ever served! We had tres tacos, street corn, and beef tostadas. It was all delicious! They served salsa and chips as soon as we sat down, too. The street corn is on a cob (vs in a bowl, which is the only way we’ve had it before). Great service and atmosphere.
