Beautiful restaurant and great atmosphere!! The food was beautifully furnished and great for the most part, we don’t recommend the pork belly..we typically receive a little pork with the ends but these were mostly fat. The drinks are amazing! I highly recommend the mojito

Añejo Cocina Mexicana is easily one of my favorite spots in Jacksonville for authentic Mexican food with a modern twist. The flavors are bold, the plates are beautifully done, and the margaritas… next level.
Every dish I’ve tried has been fresh and full of flavor, from the tacos to the fajitas to the queso that disappears way too fast. The atmosphere is lively but still comfortable, making it just as great for a night out with friends as it is for family dinner.
The staff always go out of their way to make sure you’re taken care of, and you can feel the pride they put into both the food and the service. If you’re craving Mexican food in Jax, Añejo is the spot.

I came here on a Monday night not expecting much.. then BAM! The best Mexican food I have had in at least 10 years. The main dish was the Molcajete and it’s enough for 2 people. Well, it should be. I ate it all, as well as the chips, salsa, queso, and a margarita. The molcajete has lots of protein and vegetables and came out sizzling like fajitas. (Picture with my hand beside it to show the size. I’m 6’2” and 220lbs with big hands. It’s a lot of food.) The margarita was also strong and super delicious. Too bad this was a work trip, or I’d be back many times.

I decided to go to this restaurant today for lunch. The food was really good and I really liked the presentation and our server was really nice and friendly.
The restaurant is spacious and cozy. It’s one of those places you will enjoy rather it’s a date , brunch with family or friends or any occasion. I would recommend it to those interested in going. The only thing I didn’t care for was the pork belly bites were a little fattier then what I’m use to but We will be back again.

I had an amazing brunch experience here! Every bite was a delight—the chips were perfectly crisp, the salsa was fresh and flavorful, and the carne asada was seasoned to perfection. The drinks were fantastic, and I love that they offer different sizes to suit your preference. On top of that, the atmosphere was inviting, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. Overall, a wonderful spot for a delicious meal and great vibes!

I had a wonderful experience at Anejo Cocina! The meal was started with spicy jalapeño peppers that were stuffed with goat cheese and wrapped in savory bacon. This was followed by tender pork belly, which was well complemented by a balsamic reduction and pickled onions. The meal was finished with a creamy flan custard and a moist tres leches cake. The restaurant has a wonderful view overlooking the fountain of Unity Plaza! The service was efficient, and the prices are reasonable.

I came with a party of four on a Friday night. The food was delicious, but we hardly received service from our waitress. It took a while for orders to be taken for our drinks and appetizers as well as our main course, meanwhile people sat after us and before us were checked on much more frequently.
Despite this, the food was delicious and fresh and my drink strong and yummy.
When we received our checks though, we noticed an automatic gratuity of 20% on our checks for a party of 4 or more despite the menu stating an automatic gratuity of 18% for parties of 6 or more. When we asked for clarification, our waitress seemed bothered but told us the menu changed three weeks ago and that the 20% gratuity was for 4 or more members of a party was now the standard.
We would’ve liked to have known this beforehand. We would’ve still tipped regardless, so thats not the issue, but clarity and consistency would’ve been appreciated on top of better service.

We visited the Anejo Cocina Riverside on the recommendation of our hotel concierge. This restaurant delivered. A warm welcome, immediate seating, extensive explanation of the margarita choices, menu guidance and prompt service. Service was excellent. We enjoyed the well lit and artistically decorated setting with views of the adjacent park. As former Los Angelinos with a tuned taste for quality Mexican cuisine this establishment felt familiar. We both had seafood tacos and found them to be satisfying. Enjoy!
