Reviews
His recommendations were perfect, he was always one step ahead without being overbearing, and he made us feel so comfortable the entire night. The vibe at Añejo was already amazing, but Sebastián elevated the whole experience.
Thank you for making our night so memorable — we’ll definitely be back and asking for you.
As someone who considers themselves a fine dining connoisseur, I took a chance on this place despite the mixed reviews. That was my first mistake.
From the moment I walked in, I could smell it wasn’t the cleanest. You know that smell—like a dirty rag. The place was empty, which should have been my second clue, but my love for Mexican food pushed me to stay.
I ordered what was essentially a chipotle bowl. When it arrived, it looked ragged. The shredded lettuce seemed low-quality and dirty, like it was scraped from the bottom of the bin. I took a piece of the chicken: chewy, not fresh, clearly poor quality.
I usually don’t inspect my food, but something felt off. I started pushing aside the guacamole on top, and there it was. A hair in my food. Not just a tiny strand, but a **long hair**.
I called over a young man working there. I asked him if he saw it. To be honest, he seemed annoyed. “See what?” he said, before bending down and pretending he didn’t see this obvious hair right in front of him. He did eventually apologize and asked if I wanted anything else. I said, “No, thank you.”
The young girl who had gotten my drink—who had a much better demeanor—walked over. He told her what happened. Before he could take the food away, I said, “Let me take a video.” The young lady was very apologetic. I told her I would pay for my tea (which I hadn’t even drunk—this all happened within two minutes of getting my food). She said it was fine, and I walked out.
I told her I wouldn’t post, but that would be a disservice to my fellow patrons. Nothing about this place is “fine dining.” The food quality is poor, and they obviously do **not** wear hair nets.
0/10 Do not recommend. BY THE WAY GOOGLE MADE UPLOAD VIDEOS HARD
What truly made the night special was the waitress, Paloma. She gave some of the best service I’ve seen in the area. She was friendly, attentive, and made incredible drinks. Her energy and professionalism really stood out and made our visit memorable.
If you’re looking for a good place with great drinks, great food, and excellent customer service, I highly recommend Añejo. And when you go, make sure to ask for Paloma—she’s the best!
If you haven’t tried the drinks here, you absolutely need to; they’re honestly some of the best I’ve ever had! A big reason I keep coming back is Tay, one of the most amazing bartenders I’ve ever met. The drinks she makes are consistently incredible, and her service truly stands out.
Tay always makes us feel welcomed, taken care of, and valued as guests. She’s attentive, friendly, and creates such a great experience every time. She’s truly the reason Anejo has become one of my go-to spots!
The real highlight of the night was Paloma, the bartender. She was attentive, friendly, and incredibly skilled at what she does. Her drinks were perfectly balanced and beautifully presented. She made excellent recommendations and made sure everyone at the bar felt taken care of. It’s rare to find someone who combines professionalism with such a warm personality.
Great food, great drinks, and even better service. I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend.
The open view over the street was unique and it gives the atmosphere an airy vibe to it. Really nice aesthetic and the staff is attentive and friendly.
Wife had the Molcajete. She thoroughly enjoyed it but was disappointed the bowl was plastic instead of cast iron. It was seasoned well and gave off authentic vibes.
I had the Tempiquena. The skirt steak was delicious as were the mole enchiladas. After fine tuning my Mexican food pallet over the years with my wife, I have to say it was definitely tasty and hearty.
I’d definitely bring the wife back and drag along some friends so that they can experience the of food and service that we did.
Highly recommended!
The food, music, and drinks are always on point. I’ve been coming to Añejo for over a year with friends, family, and business partners, and it never disappoints. I’ll definitely continue coming back—especially for the bar. Paloma is one of the best bartenders in the area; she brings creativity, fresh ideas, and a friendly, welcoming experience every time. And of course, the delicious Old Fashioned is the best!
