We stopped here on our road trip for their pork cracklin and boudin balls! They did not disappoint
We got the alligator gar boudin balls, regular boudin balls, and pork cracklin. I loved the regular boudin balls. They had just the right amount of spice. The alligator balls reminded my dad of how his mother used to make them when he was growing up, so he was a fan. The pork cracklins were really tasty, but some pieces were a bit harder than I’d like. I’d still get them again, though
LOVED this little restaurant. A must stop on the way out of state.

Normally the place is great with great customer service. A new black lady works there now, she has a very bad attitude. Poor customer service, wanted to charge me $4.59 for one mini meat pie. I then ask the price of the regular meat pie, she rolled her eyes and said $4.59. I told her good bye and that we were leaving because she has a nasty attitude towards customers. Smh, please get her away from the service window. Let her emptyhe trash or sweep.

Really enjoyed Andre’s. We tried the chicken cracklins and fried boudin balls. The chicken cracklins had a good ratio of meat to skin. These were some good gratons. The boudin balls are my wife’s favorite to date. We will be back for sure and can’t stop eating the cracklins.

Perfect pit stop when leaving Baton Rouge. The food was good. Service was good. Please note you can buy cracklins by dollar amount and not by weight. On my visit, cracklins were about $22 a pound.

1. Dont judge a book by its cover… 2. So good I had to visit twice… We stopped by on our way to Flroida from Texas, and we arrived right when they opened. Unfortunately, a by-product of that was the cracklins weren’t quite ready yet, so we got the regular boudin balls and the jalapeno cream cheese boudin balls… I was so blown away at the 100% pure awesomeness of this food that 1. I made it about three miles down the road, turned around, and went back for more and 2. I arranged our whole trip back home to Texas so I could arrive later in the day to hopefully try some of their cracklins, and boy, oh boy, i wasn’t disappointed…. They were crispy, full of Cajun flavor and nice and warm. The Boudin balls were perfectly crispy on the outside and bursting with flavor on the inside… I paried it with a can of Dr Pepper and was in hog heaven… Dont sleep on this place. I have heard from many Louisiana natives that some of the best foods in the whole state are little shacks on the side of the road…. They were definitely not lying

From the looks of the building it appears you are pulling up for some authentic Fresh and flavorful Cajun food…Nah. it may have been a rough day for the cook the day I visited– When me and a group of 5 pulled up happy to try some of the menu items we literally stood there waiting for the lady to greet us for a few mins. When she finally did she just slid the window open and just looked at us lol…a few in the group proceeded to order but I personally do not order food from establishments that look pissed you are trying to spend money with them. I did however sample the food THEY purchased–the cracklings were burnt as in dark right before they turned black- but just barely enough to pass off to sell…honestly they should have thrown them away and cooked a fresh batch the burnt taste was profound. And im NO picky eater! I rarely write bad reviews. The Gar Balls were hard and tough– not hot and fresh at all. It was REALLY BAD like leftovers reheated out the fridge. Perhaps the food and service is better on other days, and this day was a flop. Unfortunately, I dont live there and will never get a chance to find out… Tbh, don’t think I would want to.

Boudin balls, boudin links, Crawfish pies, chicken crackling, and meat pies were amazing! We ordered our food 30 minutes before they closed and they clearly cooked it fresh for us. The food was hot and had the best cajun flavor!
