My partner and I eat here at least once when we’re in town because we enjoy their breakfasts so much. This morning, our server Destiny was the picture of a terrific server. Prompt, friendly, and attentive before, during, and after our meal. I had the Best BLT in Polk County with a hard fried egg. It’s perfection, folks. Try it and don’t look back! The other folks in my party enjoyed their breakfasts as well, but honestly…. They missed the boat by not getting the BLT.

Ya’ll not slick charging $26 for a mountain of rice and a baby portion of meat. If you’re going to charge these prices, stop being cheap with these short cuts on the meals. Also the rice was undercooked. First impressions are everything and I got to say; disappointed.

First experience at Andreas Family Restaurant today and we enjoyed it. We ordered a Pita Platter appetizer which had Kalimantan olives, sliced cucumber dolomades, gyro meat, pita triangles and tzatziki sauce ($7.99), Country Fried Steak with mashed potatoes and rice pilaf with a side of sausage gravy ($10.99) and Grilled Mediterranean Haddock with a side of mashed potatoes, brown gravy and steamed broccoli ($12.99). The appetizer was tasty and filling for two people. The country fried steak was really tasty and easy to cut with a fork. The mashed potatoes were room temperature which was a little disappointing but still tasty, the rice pilaf was a bit heavy on the salt, otherwise tasty. The white creamy sausage gravy was really tasty. The Haddock was a sizable portion and tasty by itself. It had a Mediterranean sauce on it that was tasty although a bit heavy on the salt. The brown gravy was overly salty and best we ordered it on the side as that is just where it stayed. The steamed broccoli was fresh and steamed not swimming in butter like many restaurants serve.

We got the pineapple with shrimp and chicken bits. It sounded delicious but when we got it we couldn’t eat it because the shrimp and the chicken were both so salty. We also had mashed potatoes as a side and they were too salty to eat. We told our waitress and she said everyone loved there shrimp. When we paid we told the cashier and she said she was told the same thing from another customer. You would think they would adjust the price or do something. They took my money and I’ll never go back.

The wait was extremely long, her customer service was terrible I asked for curry chicken but it looked like turkey. It was just messy and didn’t taste like curry. All in all the entire plate for $17 wasn’t edible and went in the trash. I’ll never eat there again!
