We had a great lunch here today, both the potato and beef dumplings with all the toppings. The young woman that took our order was very nice – both friendly and professional. The atmosphere was relaxed with some fun albums playing. Very reasonable prices as well. A real gem!

Well we were in Anchorage for our Alaska cruise and our tour guy told us about Russian dumpling place. Since Kathy always makes a lot of pierogies, we probably give it a try. I’ll definitely hole in the water is no menu. They have potato and beef dumplings. You serve it with rice, wine, vinegar and curry and the slice of marble dry bread. Surprised it didn’t have any sour cream available. And to get your soda out of the box and it’s Coca-Cola products. But I’ll tell you what. There’s a very good enjoyed it and basically two dinners in DeSoto for 19 bucks. It’s probably the cheapest place in Anchorage to eat

Open til midnight! On Friday and Saturday, they are open til 2:30am! $10 for a box of either meat or potato palmenis! Wide variety of drinks including different choices of sparkling water. The needle on the record player is getting replaced, and when it is fixed, customers can dj from actual records. Clean and spacious place and yummy, filling food. Yes! One of the few late night options in Anchorage.

Great little shop with lots of flavor. Highly recommend getting all the toppings! The pel’menis are like little Russian soup dumplings (minus the soup).

This place is our must stop anytime we are in Anchorage. They are open super late and the dumplings are perfect for any occasion, any mood, any time of day (or night) Get everything on them, and use the sour cream. The simple menu ( two options) is so refreshing and makes it an easy stop even for large groups. Both the potato and beef are great, so try them both! Also, the antique cash register is beautiful and the record player gives the place such a fun and unique vibe.

This place is awesome! When the menu only offers two things, you know it’s gotta be good – and these dumplings are excellent. The service was fantastic, super friendly, great recommendations, and awesome record collection to match the vibe. Can’t recommend it enough! Thanks!!
