After recently moving to the area, we stumbled upon Anaya’s. The first time we went, we were greeted and seated right away by a very nice gentleman who was also our server. His service was quick and friendly. The food is top-notch and comes out piping hot. The second time we went, the restaurant was much busier but it didn’t change anything about service or quality. Everyone we’ve encountered is super nice and attentive. You’re gonna get a more southwest style of Mexican food here rather than taco stand type Mexican food, but it sure is delicious and we’re big fans in our house!

We found this little gem completely by chance. I am just really disappointed that we have been missing out for far too long! We plan on making up for lost time. Let me just say this: the food is the absolute best Mexican food I have even eaten. The chips and salsa are amazing and when your chips and salsa are that good, then you know the food will be even better. I had chicken fajitas. So, so, so good. My husband had a combo plate and the presentation of the dish made it look too good to eat! He devoured it! My daughter only likes burgers or chicken tenders and even her kids meal was good! She had fries and I wanted to eat them all! My other daughter had a burrito and it was Heavenly. We shared 2 desserts–the fried ice cream and the apple chimi’s. Oh my yum! We didn’t want to leave! The atmosphere is bright and cherry. Very clean along with very clean restrooms as well. The staff was amazing– very kind and friendly. My only small complaint is that we weren’t given any drink refills. Run don’t walk to this place. You are welcome!

In my continuing search for the best Menudo, I ended up at Anaya’s Mexican Restaurant today. Love the decor… booths, tables, paintings, & colors. Service is top notch. Although I’ve been to Anaya’s many times, this was my first time for their Menudo… it was tasty! Broth was dark red… tripa was plentiful and just the right texture… & they didn’t cheat me on ‘my’ hominy. Served with 3 small flour tortillas… diced white onions, chopped cilantro, Mexican Oregano, & small hot red chiles. I was very pleased with this dish… would rate it #2 on my ratings list!
05/21/22… Saturday Night in Arizona – Decided to get the whole crew together for a nice Mexican dinner at Anaya’s in Tempe. Louise & Garold had the Pollo Fundido… Jak had the Mexican Flag Burrito… and I had the Mexican Wedge Salad w/ Shrimp . Great food & drinks, atmosphere & music. Really nice get together!

Very good and I’m a Mexican food snob. I had a chicken burrito, black beans and rice. The waiter Mario was very kind, smiling and professional and the atmosphere is very cool and colorful, great Mexican music makes everything even better! Thank you for a great lunch! I’ll be back with family and friends.

First time at this restaurant and went to Tempe location. Ordered AZ chimi with rice, beans, guacamole, and sour cream for $16 and would definitely order it again! Packed full of shredded tender beef, burro was deep fried but soft texture, sauce was rich not spicy. Refried beans outstanding rice was a little dry but paired well with the rest of the dish. Husband ordered chorizo and refried beans but wasn’t too impressed with it. I didn’t try it. Chips and salsa are very good and complimentary. All in all for both meals and iced tea it $34 before tip which I’d pretty reasonable. Last place we went to was Macayos and I’d come here way before I’d go back there. Restaurant is really festive and fun atmosphere, service was excellent!

I drove by this restaurant four times, and today, I decided to stop in. I am glad I did. I went to the bar to have a Top Shelf Margarita. My server was Yeya. She was very professional and nice. The drink was awesome! I was asked if I wanted chips and salsa, I said yes, of course. Very good tasting chips and salsa. So good, I bought a 16 ounce of salsa. I also ordered to go to Pozole and Enchiladas Rancheras. Very fresh and good tasting food.

Amazing! Beautiful authentic tasing Mexican food, best around that I’ve found since moving here hands down. Easily has became our favorite spot! Mario the owner, as well as all the other workers here are always so welcoming and polite. It’s a must if you’re in town or looking for your next favorite Mexican joint.

Yajaira was amazing!!!! She makes amazing drinks!!!Yuceli was very sweet and didn’t speak English well, but, kept checking on us for anything. Mancho Man came to see us often and brought good positive energy !!! SALSA WAS SO SO GOOD I HAD TO BUY A LARGE TO GO HOME WITH ME!! We WILL BE BACK. GO VISIT THIS PLACE, U WON’T REGRET IT!!!!

We decided to check out Anya’s for dinner. It’s super cute inside and we got there are the right time, as it was not too busy. We had a couple of really good margaritas and some chips and salsa. Service was friendly and fast and everything was so good and we can’t wait to go back.

Friendly staff & bright colors are welcoming for Mexican lunch or dinner at the Tempe neighborhood Anaya’s. Portions are large, food is delicious, fresh. Great value for the prices. Tortilla soup here is rich tomato broth, large tender bite-size chicken pieces, steaming hot. Anaya’s gives you 3x soup for same price as yesterday’s green chili chicken chowder at another place. They followed custom request perfectly. After spending 6 months in Mexico, Anaya’s lives up to “fresh Mexican” motto. Definitely will be back on my next visit to Tempe! Muy rico!!
