Anasofia’s Mexican Grill sets the standard—period.
I spent many years in the restaurant industry and have worked every role: hosting, serving, bartending, training, and managing. Add to that my background as a Marine, and it’s fair to say my standards are high. When I go out to eat, I expect a relaxing, well-executed dining experience—not stacked plates, empty drinks, staggered entrees, or questionable cleanliness.
This restaurant exceeded those standards at every level.
From the moment we walked in, we were greeted immediately. Drinks were kept full without asking. The food arrived hot, fresh, and together for the entire table. As we ate, tables were quietly pre-bussed so nothing piled up. The service was attentive, professional, and perfectly balanced—present when needed, never intrusive.
And the cleanliness? Absolutely exceptional. The dining area, tables, dishes, and especially the bathrooms were the cleanest I’ve ever seen in any restaurant—anywhere. That alone speaks volumes about leadership, training, and pride in the operation.
I’ve dined at some of the finest restaurants in Dallas, including Michelin-star establishments, and I don’t say this lightly: the team here operates at that level. The attentiveness, execution, and overall professionalism are on par with the best.
Without question, Anasofia’s Mexican Grill is well above any competition in the area. This is how a restaurant should be run. I will absolutely be back and would recommend it without hesitation.

We dinned in on Sunday 11/10. We were looking for authentic mom and pop kinda mexican food and boy did this place come through. First off, the staff were all kind, attentive and social. They even offered a family who came in for a pickup order some water while they grabbed their order. The owner took time to chat with us, make recommendations as did our waiter, and the owner Miguel even provided us with a sample he felt we had to try! The food was so prompt, not to mention fresh. We ordered the chimichanga with fajita chicken topped with queso, the queso bowl, flautas dinner, sopapias and were given a sample of the churro to try. Absolutely nothing disappointed. If I had to recommend any of the items we had, it would hands down be the chimmichanga with fajita chicken and queso topped, as well as the churro. Never had we had a chimmichanga with fajita items inside but I never want to eT a chimmichanga any other way. It was phenomenal. The churro was they best I’ve ever had. The coating was perfect, it was Crunchy on the outside and perfectly goey on the inside with the most delectable dulce de Leche in and around the churro. The waiter said when you get a full order it comes with ice cream… i honestly just want a churro and a nice cup of coffee. Mmmm. The chicken in the flautas was very flavorful, the Crispiness was perfect. They spritsed some type of.. i assume it was lime juice on top with the Lettuce and tomatoes and It added even more fresh flavor to an already flavorful dish. It was served with sour cream and guacamole… again the guacamole was so fresh and flavorful. I find that at lots of restaurants you get one or the other… but here, they nailed both! The rice was wonderful, the beans were ok.. but i feel that I found them just ok because everything else was so astounding. We also ordered the Sopapias which are my partner’s favorite and he said these are the best ones he’s had in 20 years. They were of a decent size. Nicely crusted on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside, the cinnamon and sugar dusting was the right amount and even the honey they give for drizzling was delicious. I highly recommend getting the queso it was a nice treat and a decent amount for the bowl size. I can’t say enough good things about this place. It has become our new favorite spot and we will be making the 45 minute drive to visit again without hesitation!

$63 for 2 simple entrees,, 1 margarita in a low ball glass that was filled mostly with margarita mix, a side of guac, and tip included. We each had a crispy beef taco, I had chicken enchilada with cream sauce which was a little on the salty side, husband had beef enchilada with what seemed like a chili con carne sauce, not traditional red, it was too salty. both combos came with rice and beans, that’s it. All food was standard fare and small portions, although the enchiladas had enough meat, it was scant in the tacos, which had a too-thick/hard shell.. Overall, quality and taste nothing to get excited about. The chips are also too thick and kind of puffy, the salsas were ok. I’d give 2.5 stars for the food, but can’t quite get to 3 stars. Ambiance? There wasn’t any. The bar overwhelmed the small front part of the restaurant where we were seated, and together with the TVs seem out of place in what could be a cozy neighborhood restaurant. If it had been busier I can’t imagine how noisy it would be. But the waitstaff was friendly and efficient. Still looking for a good Mexican restaurant that has more authenticity, with a clear model of being a restaurant or wanna be sports bar, it’s too small to be both. Overall….Experience was overpriced and for us didn’t live up to the ratings. Won’t be returning.

Stop what you’re doing, and go here. Stop looking at other places. The food here BLEW ME AWAY. From start to finish. The green salsa is THE BEST I’ve ever had. The chicken and mushroom fajitas were perfect, the salmon was perfect, the veggies were perfect. I know I said perfect a lot, but it’s fair. This place is rad. Shut up and go check them out. Love you, bye.

We’ve been to Ana Sophia’s a few times now. Each time it’s clean, great service, and hot fresh food. Family friendly and a scale above typical Mexican food joint. The food has great flavor and the chips and salsa are a hit. We also tried the dessert- Churros are a must!

We’re regulars at Anasophia’s. Miguel, the owner, is very friendly and usually oversees operations himself.
The fajitas are excellent. The salsa is always fresh. My wife loves the salads. Watch out for the margaritas – they’re strong!

Gabriel was very attentive and made the best skinny margaritas! I had the ribeye fajitas, they were tender and came with zucchini, squash, spinach, and mushrooms instead of your typical fajita mix of green peppers and onions absolutely delicious!

Fantastic small business family owned Mexican restaurant are the place to grab authentic food. I ordered the brisket chimichanga, I want to try all the protein selection they have from chicken to beef fajita and ground beef if that’s your jam! I’m sure every thing else on the menu lives up to the hype. The only grape I have is that it wasn’t piping hot. It was warm/cold, still tasted great. Atmosphere was nice, service was A1. Will be back to try tacos for lunch! The chips and dip was a great starter. They had spicy queso, I ordered a side of it and was blown away!
