We were a group of 11 and Zach was our waiter. He was an excellent waiter! He was attentive and got all our orders correct. When we asked for anything extra, he returned with it in no time. The food was delicious too! Our appetizers were delicious too! The onion strings were a very large portion!

Anaheim Jacks is an absolute hidden gem! The vibe is rustic, fun, and full of character—license plates, sports on the big screens, and even The Rock with googly eyes watching over the drink station (10/10 decor, by the way).
We tried the wings, fried pickles, and quesadilla—and wow, everything was fire! Crispy, flavorful, and served hot. That quesadilla was packed and smothered just right.
But the real MVP of the night? Kristen! She was incredibly friendly, fast, and knew the menu inside out. She made sure everything was perfect and kept the drinks coming like a pro. Absolute legend!
If you’re looking for good food, good vibes, and a great server—go see Kristen at Anaheim Jacks. You won’t regret it!

I haven’t been here since before the floods hit Ruidoso. You can tell that the new owners changed food companies from what the former owners were using. The food quality doesn’t taste the same and my the fries were barely warm. The egg roll appetizer we gotctasted more like an empanada than an egg roll because the dough was extremely thick.

We visited Ruidoso on a bit of an off time, so not a lot of places were open during the week. Luckily, that left us with minimal choices which brought us to Anaheim Jacks. First, atmosphere was great and the menu come likes a newspaper, which I had never seen before. We started with the fried pickles, which my daughter had been craving, and they did not disappoint. They come in sandwich slice slivers versus coin shaped and were delicious. My wife and I split wings and son had chicken fried steak…..all were delicious and great portion sizes. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a good place to eat and want to grab a beer at the same time.

Decided to head into town after a camping by the river and stumbled on this place. Great place to eat and the burgers were great especially The Regulator. They have indoor seating and a covered patio that opens up as well. If you’re looking for a laugh check out the movie scenes on the way to the restrooms. Looking forward to coming back on the next camping trip.

In this economy, knowing exactly what you’re going to pay before you order isn’t just a preference—it’s an absolute imperative. And frankly, it’s not a tough ask for a business to be honest about its pricing.
At Anaheim Jacks, however, transparency is clearly not on the menu. Their “Build Your Own Burger” section is a mathematical minefield: they list a patty at $4, standard toppings at $2, and “fancy” extras at $3 or $4. I ordered a beef patty ($4), mushroom patty($4), and 2 standard toppings ($4). By every law of mathematics, I was looking at a $12 burger. Instead, I was hit with a $17.50 charge for a single burger with no sides.
When the manager openly admitted the menu was “erroneous” but then failed to follow through on the promised refund, it moved past “mistake” territory and straight into a scam. In a climate where every dollar matters, we shouldn’t have to police the check just to avoid being fleeced. If Anaheim Jacks can’t manage basic arithmetic or basic integrity, they don’t deserve your business.

I’ve been to this restaurant numerous times within the last 3 years & enjoyed it every-time.
I personally got the prairie grazer & enjoyed every bite. (If you’ve ever tried the beyond famous star from Carl’s Jr, it’s the same veggie patty) The burger was delicious, although the fresh fries aren’t included I ordered them on the side.
My friend got Billy the kid & she was obsessed with it, she did mention the green chile wasn’t spicy but really enjoyed the burger.
The fried pickles were to die for, we ordered some as an appetizer & to go. We loved them.
The service is quick, the wait time was less than 10-15 minutes the times I’ve gone.

Great place to eat at a reasonable price. The service was great and very accommodating. The food was plenty, we over ordered. My recommendation is look over the menu to possibly split a plate. Recommendations for the restaurant, maybe check out the room temperature and not wait for a customer to ask if the heater could be turned on. Everything else was great!

I was excited to come here. All the reviews seemed to really be impressed with this place and there’s a sign out that made me think there was ax throwing. It was a rather disappointing experience that lacked luster. Overall meh. There is no ax throwing and even though my burger was great, the fries were overcooked and we had to switch them out for tots which were good and crispy. My partners order was wrong but despite being not what she asked for, she still ate it and said it was okay.
