The food was outstanding. They had a balance of spices that is hard to find here.
Must be a little spicy for no Asians. The portion size is huge and the stuffs are friendly.
We ordered their fish dinner set as well as their mutton one. We also got a parcel of their goat biryani and it was exceptional.

We visited Amma’s Kitchen in Orlando expecting authentic Tamil-style food, but it was a complete letdown.

The food was very average . There was absolutely no salt in the sambar or the parotta curry, and nothing tasted like proper Tamil cuisine as they claimed. While the prices are cheap, the taste was just as cheap. The dining space was extremely cramped with tiny tables and barely any room to sit comfortably.

To make it worse, the air conditioning wasn’t working, and they had the main door open with a cooler placed at the entrance .

The owner’s attitude was the worst part , he was rude, dismissive, and acted like we should be grateful for getting food at a low price, instead of treating customers with basic respect.

Overall, a disappointing experience from the food to the service to the environment . i wouldn’t recommend it at all.

Relatively new South Indian restaurant in the busy I-drive area. It’s so new, you may not find it from the street. Good food. Lots of options and variety that you normally don’t find in a typical South Indian restaurant. Feels like mix of Tamil and Kerala items. Dosa came with bunch of chutneys which were good. Koju Parotta was really good. Chicken 65 biryani was alright. Decent service. Nice clean place. Currently enough parking. Few items on the menu were not available but I am hoping they get over it as they stabilize.

We took the first day some takeout food we really enjoyed it good however the chili pan was not that great. It was too much tangy normally it’s it’s not like that biryani is good. Very good flavorful but the next day breakfast is amazing The combo breakfast is the best breakfast and very good price. I’m sure you will not get it in Orlando taste presentation. Everything is so good so good. The manager Prakash is amazing very Very Humble and polite

Amma’s Kitchen was such a comforting spot, perfectly located between our hotel and Universal Studios. The food was fresh, flavorful, and truly homestyle, with generous portions and great value for money. If you’re in Orlando, FL and craving authentic Indian food, this is a must-try.

Excellent South Indian cuisine. This was very nostalgic dining experience, reminding me of road side restaurants you gett when you travel India by road and your bus stops. Overall food was great. The place needs some fixing. Thanks!

Excellent food and service/care from Ruchika and Vikrant.
Dosa and parotta were outstanding and the shrimp pepper fry was yummy. Fried pomfret was a nice surprise on the menu and nicely done.
We were given complimentary payasam and it was the perfect finish to our meal.

This is probably the best value Indian restaurant in Orlando. The food is authentic, delicious, and the portions are huge. It’s by far the most affordable Indian in the city. I came for lunch but even their dinner prices are better than anywhere else in town.

It’s pretty spicy, a byproduct of being traditionally prepared, but everything was delicious and I will definitely come back. Very good masala chai as well.

We really enjoyed eating at Amma’s Kitchen , Orlando FL. The food was super tasty and honestly better than we expected. Prices are very reasonable, especially for how filling everything was. We ordered the fish lunch meal, chicken lunch meal, goat biryani, and egg kothu parotta, and every single dish hit the spot. If you are craving good Indian food and don’t want to overpay, this place is definitely worth checking out.
