Place is hit or miss. Today stopped in for bacon and egg and cheese but the person before me ordered 12 breakfast sandwiches. So instead ordered sesame bagel with scallion cream cheese. Waited just as long and when I got my order and paid and heading down road when I opened I have a sesame bagel w plain cream cheese. Considering I paid extra for scallion and got none, I am extremely disappointed. Look at bag since that is where they write it down and it says scallion cc so I guess they just don’t care. This is why I say it is hit or miss. Three years living in Waterbury and sometimes they get it right but most often something is messed up.

Ami’s is THE PLACE for fresh authentic bagels. Slightly crisp outside and buttery soft on the inside. Made the traditional way – boiled then finished in the oven. Too many flavors to list. The salt bagels with scallion cream cheese are out of this world delicious. They also offer breakfast sandwiches and coffee. At least a half dozen flavors of cream cheese are available too.

The Bagels are delicious. I live in Brooklyn NY. Came to CT to visit and had a toasted Jalapeño Bagel with butter for breakfast this morning. Yum. Just wish they would have toasted it more so that it’s brown crispy crunchy

Really good bagels compared to many other “bagel” shops. Great selection of bagels and cream cheese. I had a Jalapeno bagel with Lox and cream cheese. They don’t skimp on the cream cheese or the Lox. Omar coffee – what could be better than that but they use flavored syrup instead of flavored coffee from Omars. I’m not a fan of flavored syrup, so I gave them 4 stars instead of 5.

Ami’s hasn’t been the same since COVID. Last time I went I ordered an Egg & cheese on a bagel. Left highly disappointed. For more than $3 you get 1 Bagel, 1 egg, & 1 thinly sliced piece of cheese. I can go to other places & for $4.15 I can get 2/3 eggs & 2 slices of thick cheese & leave happy. Time before that (during COVID), they double charged me at the register (it was only around $3 too) & when I called them about it they said they’d refund me at some point via square when they saw the double charge. That never happened, but I still wanted to try to support them because $3 was worth it for good bagels. The bagels are still delicious, but their breakfast sandwiches suck now. Not going to return…not worth it anymore.

Hands down the best bagels in the area. I used to live in the area years ago, moved away and revisited and they still taste exactly the same. There’s a reason they’re always busy!

I recommend bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel! All their bagels are great and they have a decent variety. I haven’t ever had a negative experience there.

Great Bagels! The really good bagels run out early so it’s best to get there before noon, but all of them are delicious. And you can buy their flavored cream cheeses.
