I ordered yellow curry, which is supposed to come with potatoes and pineapples. It is delicious. However I ordered it with tofu instead of beef or chicken, but it was basically a mound of tofu covered in the yellow curry. There were some pineapple pieces, and I counted two little pieces of potato. But I wanted tofu WITH my meal, not a meal of tofu flavored with sauce.

Pro tip- ask for fish sauce , chili peppers, and soy sauce and add to every dish. Potato’s in my curry were totally bland . All flavors were a bit sweet or lacked salt.

Amina Thai in Rockville is an excellent spot to relax and enjoy some delicious Thai food. Their extensive menu features a variety of dishes, catering to both meat lovers and vegetarians alike. I tried the chicken Pad Thai, and it was truly exceptional. The sauce was wonderfully tangy, and there was plenty of chicken—definitely a step up from many Asian restaurants that skimp on meat.

Nothing special about the food. Ordered Green Curry but got a Red Curry instead. We digged in so just tried and was surprised that it was very good. The texture was a little sticky than watery. Had a really distinctive taste that I can’t put my finger on but very tasty. Pad thai was a little too sweet for my taste but still good. Big, big shrimps for Pad Thai and very good.

Was very excited for halal thai food. Tried their tom kha soup with chicken and mushroom. The shrimp flavor was overpowering and the mushrooms were too big to my liking. 2.5/5. Next we got thai iced tea which was bitter to our liking. Pad priao wan with beef and drunken noodles with beef were both 3/5. Overall was a bit disappointed.

this is really great Thai food at an inexpensive cost. Because I live in Bethesda and the rest restaurant is up Rockville Pike. It usually takes me about 20 minutes each way to get there. So that should be some indication that I love their food given that I’m going to spend 40 minutes just to go pick it up. They are Halal and so only chicken and beef dishes or vegetarian dishes no beef. And the food taste so good. I could care less if it’s beef, chicken or pork.

What used to be amazingly great Thai food is now unfortunately somewhat mediocre. The dishes with noodles are broken into smaller pieces and some ingredients are missing compared to previous meals.
The service is cordial and they are certainly Thai.
