Driving through a small town and this was conveniently located right off the highway. While it had a very basic look with very little atmosphere, it was actually very tasty food. The ladies were all very pleasant and polite. The hard shell and also soft tacos were very good sized and packed with flavor. The salsa had a little kick to it with very homemade taste. I would say that the only small downfall was that the chips were not fresh tasting. But the tacos made up for it. P.S. The bathrooms were clean!

Chips & hot sauce are not included, though all other Mexican food restaurants I visit serve those items once you are seated. The cheese enchiladas & sauce here are different here than anywhere else, but good. The CFS was very thin & overcooked but the white gravy was good. Baked potato was overcooked & came with sour cream that wasn’t expected or desired. Guacamole was good. I would return here for cheese enchiladas & guacamole but not order the other items again.

First time eating here. It was a great experience here. Had a very great atmosphere. The food was great. The potato was a little over cooked, but other than that it was great. My wife and grand daughter had a great time and really enjoyed the food also. A little spicy but it’s Mexican.

First time here. We were returning from a weekend trip. We all felt like tacos. The ice tea was fresh and tasted good. Good salsa with warm fresh chips.
We had the crispy tacos lunch. The tacos were very good. The rice had a good flavor…the charro beans needed a little salt but overall a very nice experience. The wait staff was busy but friendly and fast.
We will be back next time we find ourselves here.

Food was fair quality. Nothing that stood out. Salsa had too much tomato. A little more garlic, onion and cilantro would be nice. Prices are a little high and they charge you to use your card. Other than that, it’s probably a better stop going through that small town.

Stopped in here for some breakfast chow on the way to Waco for the day. There’s something about eating in a small town that I really enjoy. There’s a couple tables of older gentlemen who are having their morning coffee & talking about this sum’bitch & that sum’bitch while laughing & having a good time. Brazos Valley channel 3 news is on the tv & they start their broadcast with a classroom of kids from a local elementary reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. I’m really enjoying myself & feel comfortable dining in a restaurant for the first time in a long time. This town is friendly & knows what love is. It makes me realize just how much I truly hate living in Houston – it’s the total opposite of Hearne, Tx. Just when I don’t think I can have a better time, one of the old men gets up, grabs the coffee pot, & refills every cup on the restaurant. He laughs as the waitress apologizes & he calls her by name & says he wants a cut of her tips for the day but knows she’s busy. This town is what America used to be…but no longer is.

This place was horrible. We use to go here frequently and it wasn’t bad but lately it’s been horrible. The eggs are powdered eggs now, and the scrambled egg pieces were as small as peas, the sausage was paper thin and disgusting, I believe they microwaved it. I got the French toast and it’s like they soaked it in water before dipping it in egg and slightly attempting to cook it. It was so soggy it literally dripped and fell apart when I picked it up to look at why it looked so weird. The tea was so sweet I had to pour half of it out and fill the other half with water. The beans were bland and the potatoes were mediocre. Nothing had a pinch of seasoning on it, nothing. It’s sad to see a place that use to be decent stop putting in any effort into their food.
