Many of the issues I mentioned in my original post have been improved. The food is no longer overly salty, the service has gotten much better, and both the menu and overall food quality have improved. The only things that haven’t changed are the extremely hard chips and the high prices, which still feel excessive. The food is still just okay, but overall it’s definitely an improvement and now ranks as the second best spot for Mexican food in Powell. One thing to note is that it can still take a while to get your food.

This is my family favorite place to go to. We have been here during lunch and dinner. The food is amazing each time and our server was very polite, and patient with us having kids. What I like the most is that I didn’t have to ask for refilled on our drinks and he made sure we had everything we needed.

I say this w/o a hint of exaggeration…6 out of 5. It is an absolute travesty that this place is only rated 3.5. I can only guess that those tanking the reviews think Taco John’s is good?
The tacos & nachos were great, but the quesabirria is some of the best I’ve ever eaten. & the owner is a great guy…very informative about the food & restaurant. Update: The whole crew came back for dinner as well.

Amigos was great! The margaritas are AMAZING. I got the chicken enchiladas and they were full of flavor. The proportions are great for the price. The owner truly strives to be different and I love that things are made to order. I’m willing to wait for good food. I’d recommend- and I can’t wait to see where this business goes!
