Had an amazing dinner at Amico’s after a long day of playing hockey. Jason and his staff went above and beyond to make our experience above and beyond.

Our table had the Calzone, pizza, ravioli, and an Italian sub!

The kids meals were the perfect amount of Ravioli and Cheese Pizza, our picky eaters loved the food and ate every bite.

The Chocolate Cake is a must have!

I had a slice of veggie pizza. The sauce was bland and the 1st slice was sent back since the crust was burned. My husband had the Chicken parm sandwich said more spice and flavor would improve the taste. Service was quick and helpful.

A Slice of Life at Amico’s New York Pizza – A Tale of Culinary Highs and Lows

Venturing into the heart of local flavor, my wife and I followed a tip from a town insider and landed at Amico’s New York Pizza. The journey through their menu proved to be a rollercoaster of flavors and experiences.

From the moment we stepped in, we were whisked into a warm embrace of hospitality, greeted by a charming server who danced through our conversation in fluent Spanish, making us feel right at home. The service was swift and sweet, setting the stage for what we hoped would be a feast to remember.

Our appetizer, the garlic knots, promised delight but delivered disappointment, tasting like relics of a bygone microwave era, tough on the bite and shy on flavor. However, the culinary plot thickened with the arrival of our main courses. My Chicken Parmesan was a lackluster affair, a bland ensemble hastily thrown together, leaving my taste buds in a dreary waltz of mediocrity.

In stark contrast, my wife’s Penne a la Vodka with Italian sausage was a scene-stealer. Each forkful was a festival of flavors, so much so that I was tempted to pull an old-fashioned heist to make her plate my own. Alas, love prevailed over greed, and I contented myself with the generous tastes she shared.

The backdrop of Amico’s was an ode to casual dining – a lively pizzeria vibe that invited laughter and chatter, making it a perfect gathering spot for friends escaping the daily grind. While the pricing felt ambitious against the mixed culinary performance, the hefty portions provided some solace.

All told, our evening at Amico’s was a symphony of hits and misses. The radiant service and vibrant atmosphere were highlights, painting over the culinary blips. Should you find yourself meandering through their menu, do aim for the Penne a la Vodka–it’s a star performance not to be missed.

As a former New Yorker from Brooklyn, this is the best pizza I’ve found in Wilco. Real deal stuff. But I highly recommend you start taping your pizza boxes shut when door dashers pick up food for deliveries. Time to get on board with that!

We love going to this place. The pizza is delicious. The rolls they give you while you wait for your pizza are delicious. Make sure you ask for a bowl of marinara to dip your roll into you can thank me later. I’ve never had bad service here all the waiters and waitresses and great attitude. I recommend this to everybody if you love good pizza I only eat the pizza but I know other people that have ordered other stuff and they said it was delicious.

Being from New York myself, I had high expectations, and was mostly satisfied. The salad was great, the mozzarella wedges were on point, the pizza was great, and the wait staff excellent… so why only 4 stars??? The dough for the pizza and the complimentary garlic bread was on the sweet side, which is what knocked it down a little for my personal tastes (I would have given 4.5 stars if Google allowed half stars). I did enjoy everything, but really would have absolutely loved it more if the breads didn’t have that sweet undertone.

I have been going since they opened and will continue to go until one of us shuts down, lol.
Hopefully I give out first, cause this place needs to stick around. Flavor so good in each bite, it has me dancing in my seat! My son is even hooked!
Cozy little place, like you’re all nestled in Nona’s dining room.

My family is originally from Long Island and we get this pizza every chance we get. Amicos is the pizza I remember from home. Headed back to NY this week and gonna see how my memory compares. Photo from a couple weeks ago with the family there at Amicos – just plain cheese is perfect – less is more. But they also have great garlic knots – free at the table.

Took a ride out to Nolensville to try Amico’s New York Pizza, it’s tucked in a plaza just North of the historic district. Jan met me at the door and got me seated, they were pretty busy with the Sunday lunch crowd. When she returned she brought a basket of what I will call their “heart attack rolls” (garlic bread) that soaks in their butter/olive oil “drizzle”. The bread is really good…crispy outside and light as air inside. I ordered a medium cheese pizza (14”) and it came out pretty quick. Would I consider this pizza “NY Style”? Absolutely! The crust is solid, crispy, and folds well without cracking. For me the mozzarella was a little chewy and I did add a splash of parmesan and a sprinkle of red pepper flakes for more flavor…but overall a solid pie. My server Jan was awesome…she took great care of me.
