My experince fell below my expectations. Upon ordering my food, I was told that it would take 30 minutes as the fried goat had to be cooked. No problem, but it actually took about an hour. The fried goat was good, but everything else was just average. The black rice didn’t look like black rice and it was a little dry. The plantains were also average. What helped to make the platter a little better was one of the sauces that came with it. I can’t recommend this place but I will say you have to try it for yourself.

I am always fair with my reviews because I understand what they mean to small businesses. BUTTT TODAY WE HAVE 5 STARS!!!!!!!!! This is some of the best Plates I’ve ever eaten in my entire life. This was my first time having Haitian food, and I was a little nervous only because it wasn’t something that I was used to, Chef Amicia, was so kind caring she explained to me all the traditional dishes and she even let me try something My first time there, completely free of charge, I came back and I ordered several dishes, the Haitian spaghetti and the Griiot with both sweet / ripe plantains and tostones- two of the house made juices and I had a side salad! Let me tell you I couldn’t stop dancing the entire meal. The food was ridiculous!!!!!!!! SOOO FREAKING GOOOOD! So many places now are so expensive for such tiny portions!!! Hereeee you get so much food!!!!! It’s worth every single penny! The flavors are powerful yet well balanced. It is cooked to perfection with love! And it’s full of soul! It’s authentic and the people who make it are like family!!!!! Support this business!!!! You will not regret it!!!! Bring your family! bring your friend! The food will speak for itself!

Let me praise this restaurant right quick!!! As a Haitian woman It has been hard to find a good Haitian restaurant with great customer service. I was so pleased on how patient and nice they were to the point I had to call the restaurant and give them their flowers because I was very impressed. I will definitely be back!!! And the food was good, I wish the fish was bigger but It was still a decent size. The rice was so tasty, I usually don’t eat jasmine rice but they washed and cook that rice to perfection! I also had got their homemade mango passion fruit juice and It was delicious!
Thank you for changing that narrative of “all Haitian restaurants have bad customer service”, keep up the good work.

I have ordered from here before and the food was delicious but this time is different. I ordered 2 griot plates with black rice, green plantains and salad… 8/9pm on a Friday . I was expecting fresh food.
The black rice tastes like 50 cloves were in the pot. The taste is overpowering! The rice.. not black at all and feels old. Like the rice was refried in the pan with butter.
The griot taste and smells old. Like it was pre-boiled days ago and fried today. I could not eat it because again, the smell was a complete turn off!
Needless to say, this is my first and last time wasting my money.

I haven’t had Haitian food since I left Florida in 2023. I couldn’t find a good Haitian restaurant until I stumbled across this GEM on TikTok. I drove from Dunwoody to Stone Mountain for this food and believe me when I say I’d do it again. First of all, the music that was playing was banger after banger. The cashier (who is the owner’s daughter) was so nice. It was very clean inside and I didn’t wait long for my food at all. Now, because I’ve been craving Haitian food for so long (specifically diri djon djon) I couldn’t wait until I got home. I had to try a bite (or 10… or 20) in my car. It was sooooo good that my friend who I was on FaceTime with was like “girl is the food gonna make it home?” Like I couldn’t close it. I had to go inside and tell them just how good it was. The daughter called her mom from the back and I got to give her her praise to her face and she was so nice, warm and welcoming. They will be seeing me OFTEN. TRUST.

I’ve been going here since you could only order from Oak street eats. I was able to cater my nephews party with Amicia and I’ll be doing it again. I absolutely recommend you catering from here. Your food will be fresh and delicious and everyone will be asking you where you went.

I love that you can pick what type of plantains you want. Got the turkey griot plate. The corn side is sooo good, has a nice seasoning. Went in to order & my plate was ready in less than 5 mins.

Amicia’s Creole Cuisine did not disappoint! I ordered the fried turkey with black rice and a fresh salad on the side. The turkey was crispy, juicy, and full of flavor. The black rice was rich and perfectly cooked authentic Haitian flavor through and through. The salad was a nice, refreshing touch. You can tell this food is made with care and tradition. Highly recommend for anyone craving real Haitian comfort food!
